“ Send this message to all the exiles:‘ This is what the Lord says about Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, even though I did not send him, and has persuaded you to trust in lies,

“你当寄信给一切被掳的人说：‘耶和华论到尼希兰人示玛雅说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，我并没有差遣他，他使你们倚靠谎言；

“你当送信给所有被掳的人，说：‘耶和华论到尼希兰人示玛雅说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，使你们倚靠谎言，而我并没有差遣他，

“你当送信给所有被掳的人，说：‘耶和华论到尼希兰人示玛雅说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，使你们倚靠谎言，而我并没有差遣他，

“你派人送信给所有被掳的人，说，‘耶和华说祂没有差遣尼希兰人示玛雅，他却说预言，诱使你们听信谎言，

“你要寄信给所有被掳的人，说：‘论到尼希兰人示玛雅，耶和华这样说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，我并没有差遣他，他竟使你们信靠谎言。

「你當送信給所有被擄的人，說：『耶和華論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，使你們倚靠謊言，而我並沒有差遣他，

「你當送信給所有被擄的人，說：『耶和華論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，使你們倚靠謊言，而我並沒有差遣他，

「你派人送信給所有被擄的人，說，『耶和華說祂沒有差遣尼希蘭人示瑪雅，他卻說預言，誘使你們聽信謊言，

“你要寄信給所有被擄的人，說：‘論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅，耶和華這樣說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，我並沒有差遣他，他竟使你們信靠謊言。

『你要寄信給所有流亡的人說：「永恆主論尼希蘭人示瑪雅是這麼說的：因為示瑪雅向你們傳神言，而我並沒有差遣了他，他竟使你們倚靠着虛假，

致書告諸俘囚曰、耶和華論尼希蘭人示瑪雅云、緣示瑪雅與爾預言、我未遣之、惟彼使爾妄誕是恃、

爾當致書、告諸俘囚者曰、尼希蘭人示罵雅、予耶和華未之遣也、彼傳言以惑眾、

爾當致書、告諸被擄者曰、主如是云、尼希蘭人示瑪雅、我未嘗遣之、彼竟於爾妄傳預言、使爾倚賴虛誑、

“ Send a message to all the people who were taken away. Tell them,‘ The Lord speaks about Shemaiah, the Nehelamite. He says,“ Shemaiah has prophesied to you. But I did not send him. He has made you trust in lies.

“ Send to all the exiles, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah of Nehelam: Because Shemaiah had prophesied to you when I did not send him, and has made you trust in a lie,

“ Send an open letter to all the exiles in Babylon. Tell them,‘ This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Since he has prophesied to you when I did not send him and has tricked you into believing his lies,

“ Send a message to all the exiles, saying,‘ This is what the LORD says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah prophesied to you, though I did not send him, and made you trust a lie,

“ Send word to all the exiles, saying,‘ This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite:“ Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, although I did not send him, and he has made you trust in a lie,”

Send to all those in captivity, saying, Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I have not sent him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie—

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith Jehovah concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he hath caused you to trust in a lie;

“ Send a message to all the exiles, saying: This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah prophesied to you, though I did not send him, and made you trust a lie,

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:

“ Send a message to all the exiles in Babylon. Tell them,‘ The LORD has spoken about Shemaiah the Nehelamite.“ Shemaiah has spoken to you as a prophet even though I did not send him. He is making you trust in a lie.

“ Send to all of the captives, saying,‘ Yahweh says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite:“ Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I didn’t send him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie;”

They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,” declares the Lord.

Because you disheartened the righteous with your lies, when I had brought them no grief, and because you encouraged the wicked not to turn from their evil ways and so save their lives,therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will save my people from your hands. And then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

Then the Lord said to me,“ The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.Therefore this is what the Lord says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying,‘ No sword or famine will touch this land.’ Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine.

“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because of your false words and lying visions, I am against you, declares the Sovereign Lord.My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.“‘ Because they lead my people astray, saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash,therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth.When the wall collapses, will people not ask you,“ Where is the whitewash you covered it with?”“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury.I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you will be destroyed in it; and you will know that I am the Lord.So I will pour out my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with whitewash. I will say to you,“ The wall is gone and so are those who whitewashed it,those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Sovereign Lord.”’

For they have done outrageous things in Israel; they have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and in my name they have uttered lies— which I did not authorize. I know it and am a witness to it,” declares the Lord.Tell Shemaiah the Nehelamite,

I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied.

Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet,“ Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, yet you have persuaded this nation to trust in lies.Therefore this is what the Lord says:‘ I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. This very year you are going to die, because you have preached rebellion against the Lord.’”In the seventh month of that same year, Hananiah the prophet died.

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them— bringing swift destruction on themselves.
