because they have not listened to my words,” says Yahweh,“ with which I sent to them my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but you would not hear,” says Yahweh.

耶和華曰、我屢遣我僕諸先知詣彼、夙興而遣之、惟彼不聽我言、

我數遣僕先知、訓迪有眾、惟彼不聽我言、與爾無異、故我罰之若此。

主曰、皆因彼不肯聽我言、我屢屢原文作每晨遣我僕眾先知警教之、竟不聽從、此乃主所言、

For they have not listened to my words,” declares the Lord,“ words that I sent to them again and again by my servants the prophets. And you exiles have not listened either,” declares the Lord.

That’s because they have not listened to my words,” announces the Lord.“ I sent messages to them again and again. I sent them through my servants the prophets. And you who were taken to Babylon have not listened either,” announces the Lord.

because they did not pay attention to my words, declares the Lord, that I persistently sent to you by my servants the prophets, but you would not listen, declares the Lord.’

For they refuse to listen to me, though I have spoken to them repeatedly through the prophets I sent. And you who are in exile have not listened either,” says the Lord.

I will do this because they have not listened to my words”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ the words that I sent to them with my servants the prophets time and time again. And you too have not listened.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

I will do this because they have not listened to My words”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ that I sent to them with My servants the prophets time and time again. And you too have not listened.” This is the Lord’s declaration.

Hear, earth! Behold, I will bring evil on this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not listened to my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.

From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty- three years, Yahweh’s word has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.Yahweh has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them( but you have not listened or inclined your ear to hear),saying,“ Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forever more.Don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; then I will do you no harm.”“ Yet you have not listened to me,” says Yahweh;“ that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.”

See that you don’t refuse him who speaks. For if they didn’t escape when they refused him who warned on the earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven,

But they refused to listen, and turned their backs, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear.Yes, they made their hearts as hard as flint, lest they might hear the law, and the words which Yahweh of Armies had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets. And the prophets, do they live forever?But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, didn’t they overtake your fathers?“ Then they repented and said,‘ Just as Yahweh of Armies determined to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.’”

Now, because you have done all these works,” says Yahweh,“ and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you didn’t hear; and I called you, but you didn’t answer;

But they didn’t listen or turn their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.Yet they didn’t listen to me or incline their ear, but made their neck stiff. They did worse than their fathers.

“ The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab that he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed; and to this day they drink none, for they obey their father’s commandment; but I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking, and you have not listened to me.I have sent also to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying,‘ Every one of you must return now from his evil way, amend your doings, and don’t go after other gods to serve them, then you will dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers:’ but you have not inclined your ear, nor listened to me.The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father which he commanded them, but this people has not listened to me.”’

However I sent to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying,“ Oh, don’t do this abominable thing that I hate.”But they didn’t listen and didn’t incline their ear. They didn’t turn from their wickedness, to stop burning incense to other gods.

They have turned their backs to me, and not their faces. Although I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

Therefore Yahweh says:“ You have not listened to me, to proclaim liberty, every man to his brother, and every man to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim to you a liberty,” says Yahweh,“ to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine. I will make you be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth.
