With my great strength and powerful arm I made the earth and all its people and every animal. I can give these things of mine to anyone I choose.

With my great power and outstretched arm I made the earth and its people and the animals that are on it, and I give it to anyone I please.

I reached out my great and powerful arm. I made the earth. I made its people and animals. And I can give the earth to anyone I please.

“ It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth, with the men and animals that are on the earth, and I give it to whomever it seems right to me.

“ By my great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, and the people, and animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.

‘ I have made the earth, mankind, and the animals which are on the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I will give it to the one who is pleasing in My sight.

‘ I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me.

I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it unto whom it seemeth right unto me.

By My great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, and the people, and animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.

I have made the earth, the man and the beast that[ are] upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

“ I made the earth and the people and animals on it by my mighty power and great strength, and I give it to whomever I see fit.

‘ I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.

“ O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!

May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth.The heavens belong to the Lord, but he has given the earth to all humanity.

For this has been decreed by the messengers; it is commanded by the holy ones, so that everyone may know that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world. He gives them to anyone he chooses— even to the lowliest of people.”

But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.

God, the Lord, created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth. And it is he who says,

The Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.

I am the one who made the earth and created people to live on it. With my hands I stretched out the heavens. All the stars are at my command.

“ You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

Say this to those who worship other gods:“ Your so called gods, who did not make the heavens and earth, will vanish from the earth and from under the heavens.”But the Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.

Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully. His faithful love endures forever.Give thanks to him who placed the earth among the waters. His faithful love endures forever.Give thanks to him who made the heavenly lights— His faithful love endures forever.the sun to rule the day, His faithful love endures forever.and the moon and stars to rule the night. His faithful love endures forever.

It was my hand that laid the foundations of the earth, my right hand that spread out the heavens above. When I call out the stars, they all appear in order.”

“ Friends, why are you doing this? We are merely human beings— just like you! We have come to bring you the Good News that you should turn from these worthless things and turn to the living God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them.

Praise him, all his angels! Praise him, all the armies of heaven!Praise him, sun and moon! Praise him, all you twinkling stars!Praise him, skies above! Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!Let every created thing give praise to the Lord, for he issued his command, and they came into being.

for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.He existed in the beginning with God.God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.

Yet you have forgotten the Lord, your Creator, the one who stretched out the sky like a canopy and laid the foundations of the earth. Will you remain in constant dread of human oppressors? Will you continue to fear the anger of your enemies? Where is their fury and anger now? It is gone!

He also says to the Son,“ In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands.They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing.

Haven’t you heard? Don’t you understand? Are you deaf to the words of God— the words he gave before the world began? Are you so ignorant?God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.He judges the great people of the world and brings them all to nothing.They hardly get started, barely taking root, when he blows on them and they wither. The wind carries them off like chaff.“ To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One.Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer and Creator:“ I am the Lord, who made all things. I alone stretched out the heavens. Who was with me when I made the earth?

For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.

And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.

“ Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much.Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line?What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstoneas the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?“ Who kept the sea inside its boundaries as it burst from the womb,and as I clothed it with clouds and wrapped it in thick darkness?For I locked it behind barred gates, limiting its shores.I said,‘ This far and no farther will you come. Here your proud waves must stop!’“ Have you ever commanded the morning to appear and caused the dawn to rise in the east?Have you made daylight spread to the ends of the earth, to bring an end to the night’s wickedness?As the light approaches, the earth takes shape like clay pressed beneath a seal; it is robed in brilliant colors.The light disturbs the wicked and stops the arm that is raised in violence.“ Have you explored the springs from which the seas come? Have you explored their depths?Do you know where the gates of death are located? Have you seen the gates of utter gloom?Do you realize the extent of the earth? Tell me about it if you know!“ Where does light come from, and where does darkness go?Can you take each to its home? Do you know how to get there?But of course you know all this! For you were born before it was all created, and you are so very experienced!“ Have you visited the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of hail?( I have reserved them as weapons for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war.)Where is the path to the source of light? Where is the home of the east wind?“ Who created a channel for the torrents of rain? Who laid out the path for the lightning?Who makes the rain fall on barren land, in a desert where no one lives?Who sends rain to satisfy the parched ground and make the tender grass spring up?“ Does the rain have a father? Who gives birth to the dew?Who is the mother of the ice? Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens?For the water turns to ice as hard as rock, and the surface of the water freezes.“ Can you direct the movement of the stars— binding the cluster of the Pleiades or loosening the cords of Orion?Can you direct the constellations through the seasons or guide the Bear with her cubs across the heavens?Do you know the laws of the universe? Can you use them to regulate the earth?“ Can you shout to the clouds and make it rain?Can you make lightning appear and cause it to strike as you direct?Who gives intuition to the heart and instinct to the mind?Who is wise enough to count all the clouds? Who can tilt the water jars of heavenwhen the parched ground is dry and the soil has hardened into clods?“ Can you stalk prey for a lioness and satisfy the young lions’ appetitesas they lie in their dens or crouch in the thicket?Who provides food for the ravens when their young cry out to God and wander about in hunger?

He struck down great nations and slaughtered mighty kings—Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan.He gave their land as an inheritance, a special possession to his people Israel.

and enter the land of the Ammonites, the descendants of Lot. But do not bother them or start a war with them. I have given the land of Ammon to them as their property, and I will not give you any of their land.’”

the Lord warned us,‘ Do not bother the Moabites, the descendants of Lot, or start a war with them. I have given them Ar as their property, and I will not give you any of their land.’”

For the Lord your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the Lord your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.”’

All the animals of the earth, all the birds of the sky, all the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the fish in the sea will look on you with fear and terror. I have placed them in your power.I have given them to you for food, just as I have given you grain and vegetables.

“ He showed you these things so you would know that the Lord is God and there is no other.

Then God said,“ Look! I have given you every seed bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.And I have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground— everything that has life.” And that is what happened.

“ In the future, when you have children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time, do not corrupt yourselves by making idols of any kind. This is evil in the sight of the Lord your God and will arouse his anger.

But they are your people and your special possession, whom you brought out of Egypt by your great strength and powerful arm.’

They were also as strong and numerous and tall as the Anakites. But the Lord destroyed them so the Ammonites could occupy their land.

Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands.

“ Now search all of history, from the time God created people on the earth until now, and search from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything as great as this ever been seen or heard before?

When the Most High assigned lands to the nations, when he divided up the human race, he established the boundaries of the peoples according to the number in his heavenly court.

“ This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:“ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a Temple at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

“ The dead tremble— those who live beneath the waters.The underworld is naked in God’s presence. The place of destruction is uncovered.God stretches the northern sky over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing.He wraps the rain in his thick clouds, and the clouds don’t burst with the weight.He covers the face of the moon, shrouding it with his clouds.He created the horizon when he separated the waters; he set the boundary between day and night.The foundations of heaven tremble; they shudder at his rebuke.By his power the sea grew calm. By his skill he crushed the great sea monster.His Spirit made the heavens beautiful, and his power pierced the gliding serpent.These are just the beginning of all that he does, merely a whisper of his power. Who, then, can comprehend the thunder of his power?”

“ Honor your father and mother, as the Lord your God commanded you. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

If anyone takes a human life, that person’s life will also be taken by human hands. For God made human beings in his own image.

“ He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man made temples,

“ Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.I promise you what I promised Moses:‘ Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you—
