如彼果為先知、奉耶和華之命、則當祈萬軍之耶和華、俾在耶和華室、猶大王宮、耶路撒冷、尚存之器、不被遷於巴比倫、

如彼誠先知、奉耶和華命、則可祈萬有之主耶和華、使其殿宇、及猶大王宮、耶路撒冷邑所遺之器皿、必不遷於巴比倫。

如彼誠為先知、誠奉主之命、則可祈萬有之主、使在主殿、猶大王宮、及耶路撒冷所遺之器皿、不遷於巴比倫、

If they are prophets and have the word of the Lord, let them plead with the Lord Almighty that the articles remaining in the house of the Lord and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets and have received a message from me, let them pray to me. I am the Lord who rules over all. Those prophets should pray that what is still in Jerusalem will remain here. They should pray that the objects in my house and the king’s palace will not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, then let them intercede with the Lord of hosts, that the vessels that are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon.

If they really are prophets and speak the Lord’s messages, let them pray to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Let them pray that the articles remaining in the Lord’s Temple and in the king’s palace and in the palaces of Jerusalem will not be carried away to Babylon!’

If they are indeed prophets and if the word of the LORD is with them, let them intercede with the LORD of Armies not to let the articles that remain in the LORD’s temple, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem go to Babylon.’

But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, have them now plead with the Lord of armies that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord and the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem do not go to Babylon.

I also told them,“ If they are really prophets and the LORD is speaking to them, let them pray earnestly to the LORD who rules over all. Let them plead with him not to let the valuable articles that are still left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace, and in Jerusalem be taken away to Babylon.

But if they are prophets, and if Yahweh’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in Yahweh’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.

眾民對撒母耳說：“求你為僕人向耶和華你的神禱告，免得我們死亡，因為我們為自己要求立王的事，是在我們的一切罪上又增加了這一件惡事。”

至於我，我決不停止為你們禱告，以致得罪耶和華；我要把善道正路教導你們。

良善的應得惡報嗎？他們竟然挖陷坑害我。求你記念我怎樣站在你面前，為他們說好話，使你的烈怒離開他們。

你們呼求你們神的名，我也呼求耶和華的名。那降火來顯示回答的神就是神了。”眾人都回答：“這話說得很好！”

所以你們應當彼此認罪，互相代求，這樣你們就可以痊愈。義人祈禱所發出的力量，是大有功效的。以利亞是與我們性情相同的人；他懇切祈求不要下雨，地上就三年零六個月沒有雨；他又祈禱，天就下雨，地就生出土產來。

希西家王和亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞先知為了這事禱告，向天呼求。

“至於你，不要為這人民祈禱，不要為他們呼求禱告，也不要為他們向我懇求，因為我不會聽你。

現在你們要為自己取七頭公牛、七隻公羊，到我的僕人約伯那裡去，為你們獻上燔祭，我的僕人約伯就替你們禱告；我悅納他的禱告，就不按照你們的愚昧待你們。你們講論我，不如我的僕人約伯說的對。”於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法，照著耶和華吩咐他們的去行，耶和華就悅納約伯的禱告。

耶和華對我說：“即使摩西和撒母耳站在我面前代求，我的心也不會轉向這人民。你把他們從我面前趕走，叫他們出去！

我在他們中間尋找一人重修牆垣，在我面前為這地站在破口之處，使我不毀滅這地，我卻找不到一個。

即使有這三個人在其中，主耶和華說：我指著我的永生起誓，他們只能救自己，連兒女也不能救。如果我使瘟疫流行那地，藉著流血的事把我的烈怒傾倒在那地上，使人和牲畜都從那地剪除；即使當中有挪亞、但以理和約伯，我指著我的永生起誓，他們只能因自己的義救自己的性命，連兒女也不能救。這是主耶和華的宣告。”

對耶利米先知說：“求你容我們向你懇求，請為我們這餘剩的民向耶和華你的神禱告；因為我們從前人數眾多，現在剩下的極少，就像你現在親眼所見的一樣。

現在，你們要向神求情，好使他恩待我們。這污穢的祭物，既是你們經手獻的，他還能悅納你們嗎？萬軍之耶和華說：

亞伯拉罕禱告神，神就醫好了亞比米勒和他的妻子，以及他的眾婢女，使她們能生育。

即使有挪亞、但以理和約伯這三個人，他們也只能因自己的義救自己的性命。這是主耶和華的宣告。

他們把人給他們的公牛牽了來，預備好了，就從早晨直到中午，呼求巴力的名，說：“巴力啊，應允我們吧！”可是沒有聲音，也沒有回應。他們就在所築的祭壇周圍跳舞。

假如城中有五十個義人，你還真的要除滅那地方，不為城裡的五十個義人而赦免那地方嗎？你絕不會作這樣的事：把義人與惡人一同殺死，把義人和惡人一樣看待，你絕不會這樣！審判全地的主，豈可不行公義嗎？”耶和華說：“我若在所多瑪城中找到五十個義人，我就因他們的緣故，赦免那地方所有的人。”亞伯拉罕回答，說：“我雖然是灰塵，還大膽地對我主說話。假如這五十個義人中缺少了五個，你會因為缺少了五個就毀滅全城嗎？”他說：“我若在那裡找到四十五個，我也不會毀滅那城。”亞伯拉罕再問他說：“假如在那裡找到四十個呢？”他回答：“我因這四十個的緣故，也不這樣作。”亞伯拉罕說：“請我主不要動怒，容我再問：‘假如在那裡找到三十個呢？’”他回答：“我若在那裡找到三十個，也不這樣作。”亞伯拉罕說：“我再大膽地對我主說，假如在那裡找到二十個呢？”他回答：“我因這二十個的緣故，也不毀滅那城。”亞伯拉罕說：“請我主不要動怒，容我問這最後的一次，假如在那裡找到十個呢？”他回答：“我因這十個的緣故，也不毀滅那城。”耶和華與亞伯拉罕說完了話，就走了；亞伯拉罕也回到自己的地方去了。
