牧伯庶民謂祭司先知曰、斯人不當死、彼託我上帝耶和華名、言於我也、

諸方伯庶民、告祭司先知、曰、此人藉我上帝耶和華之名而言、不可殺也。

眾牧伯與民眾、告諸祭司與諸先知曰、斯人不當擬死罪、因奉主我天主之命而言於我儕、

Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and the prophets,“ This man should not be sentenced to death! He has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then the officials and all the people spoke to the priests and prophets. They said,“ This man shouldn’t be sentenced to death! He has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and the prophets,“ This man does not deserve the sentence of death, for he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then the officials and the people said to the priests and prophets,“ This man does not deserve the death sentence, for he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then the officials and all the people told the priests and prophets,“ This man doesn’t deserve the death sentence, for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God!”

Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and the prophets,“ No death sentence for this man! For he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

So the princes and all the people said to the priests and the prophets,“ This man does not deserve to die. For he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets: This man is not worthy of death; for he hath spoken to us in the name of Jehovah our God.

Then the officials and all the people told the priests and prophets,“ This man doesn’t deserve the death sentence, for he has spoken to us in the name of Yahweh our God!”

Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets; This man[ is] not worthy to die: for he hath spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.

Then the officials and all the people rendered their verdict to the priests and the prophets. They said,“ This man should not be condemned to die. For he has spoken to us under the authority of the LORD our God.”

Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and to the prophets:“ This man is not worthy of death; for he has spoken to us in the name of Yahweh our God.”

但有一個法利賽人，名叫迦瑪列，是眾百姓所敬重的教法師，在公會中站起來，吩咐人把使徒暫且帶到外面去，就對眾人說：「以色列人哪，論到這些人，你們應當小心怎樣辦理。從前杜達起來，自誇為大，附從他的人約有四百，他被殺後，附從他的全都散了，歸於無有。此後，報名上冊的時候，又有加利利的猶大起來，引誘些百姓跟從他；他也滅亡，附從他的人也都四散了。現在，我勸你們不要管這些人，任憑他們吧！他們所謀的、所行的，若是出於人，必要敗壞；若是出於神，你們就不能敗壞他們，恐怕你們倒是攻擊神了。」

於是大大地喧嚷起來。有幾個法利賽黨的文士站起來爭辯說：「我們看不出這人有甚麼惡處，倘若有鬼魂或是天使對他說過話，怎麼樣呢？」

便查知他被告是因他們律法的辯論，並沒有甚麼該死該綁的罪名。

以利拿單和第萊雅，並基瑪利雅懇求王不要燒這書卷，他卻不聽。

眾首領對巴錄說：「你和耶利米要去藏起來，不可叫人知道你們在哪裏。」

但我查明他沒有犯甚麼該死的罪，並且他自己上告於皇帝，所以我定意把他解去。

此時你若閉口不言，猶大人必從別處得解脫，蒙拯救；你和你父家必致滅亡。焉知你得了王后的位分不是為現今的機會嗎？」

巡撫說：「為甚麼呢？他做了甚麼惡事呢？」他們便極力地喊着說：「把他釘十字架！」彼拉多見說也無濟於事，反要生亂，就拿水在眾人面前洗手，說：「流這義人的血，罪不在我，你們承當吧。」

退到裏面，彼此談論說：「這人並沒有犯甚麼該死該綁的罪。」亞基帕又對非斯都說：「這人若沒有上告於凱撒，就可以釋放了。」

百夫長和一同看守耶穌的人看見地震並所經歷的事，就極其害怕，說：「這真是神的兒子了！」

在王宮的太監古實人以伯‧米勒，聽見他們將耶利米下了牢獄（那時王坐在便雅憫門口），以伯‧米勒就從王宮裏出來，對王說：「主－我的王啊，這些人向先知耶利米一味地行惡，將他下在牢獄中；他在那裏必因飢餓而死，因為城中再沒有糧食。」王就吩咐古實人以伯‧米勒說：「你從這裏帶領三十人，趁着先知耶利米未死以前，將他從牢獄中提上來。」於是以伯‧米勒帶領這些人同去，進入王宮，到庫房以下，從那裏取了些碎布和破爛的衣服，用繩子縋下牢獄去到耶利米那裏。古實人以伯‧米勒對耶利米說：「你用這些碎布和破爛的衣服放在繩子上，墊你的胳肢窩。」耶利米就照樣行了。這樣，他們用繩子將耶利米從牢獄裏拉上來。耶利米仍在護衛兵的院中。

就對他們說：「你們解這人到我這裏，說他是誘惑百姓的。看哪，我也曾將你們告他的事，在你們面前審問他，並沒有查出他甚麼罪來；就是希律也是如此，所以把他送回來。可見他沒有做甚麼該死的事。

祭司、先知對首領和眾民說：「這人是該死的；因為他說預言攻擊這城，正如你們親耳所聽見的。」

人所行的，若蒙耶和華喜悅，耶和華也使他的仇敵與他和好。

我們是應該的，因我們所受的與我們所做的相稱，但這個人沒有做過一件不好的事。」

百夫長看見所成的事，就歸榮耀與神，說：「這真是個義人！」
