首领和众民就对祭司、先知说：“这人是不该死的，因为他是奉耶和华我们神的名向我们说话。”

官长和众百姓对祭司和先知说：“这人是不该死的，因为他奉耶和华—我们上帝的名向我们说话。”

牧伯庶民謂祭司先知曰、斯人不當死、彼託我上帝耶和華名、言於我也、

諸方伯庶民、告祭司先知、曰、此人藉我上帝耶和華之名而言、不可殺也。

眾牧伯與民眾、告諸祭司與諸先知曰、斯人不當擬死罪、因奉主我天主之命而言於我儕、

Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and the prophets,“ This man should not be sentenced to death! He has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then the officials and all the people spoke to the priests and prophets. They said,“ This man shouldn’t be sentenced to death! He has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and the prophets,“ This man does not deserve the sentence of death, for he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then the officials and the people said to the priests and prophets,“ This man does not deserve the death sentence, for he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then the officials and all the people told the priests and prophets,“ This man doesn’t deserve the death sentence, for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God!”

Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and the prophets,“ No death sentence for this man! For he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

So the princes and all the people said to the priests and the prophets,“ This man does not deserve to die. For he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”

Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets: This man is not worthy of death; for he hath spoken to us in the name of Jehovah our God.

Then the officials and all the people told the priests and prophets,“ This man doesn’t deserve the death sentence, for he has spoken to us in the name of Yahweh our God!”

Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets; This man[ is] not worthy to die: for he hath spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.

Then the officials and all the people rendered their verdict to the priests and the prophets. They said,“ This man should not be condemned to die. For he has spoken to us under the authority of the LORD our God.”

Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and to the prophets:“ This man is not worthy of death; for he has spoken to us in the name of Yahweh our God.”

但有一个法利赛人，名叫迦玛列，是民众所尊敬的律法教师。他在公议会中站起来，吩咐人把使徒暂时带出去，然后对大家说：“以色列人哪，你们应当小心处理这些人！从前有个丢大，自命不凡，附从他的人约有四百。他一被杀，跟从他的人尽都星散，一败涂地。这人之后，在户口登记的时候，又有一个加利利人犹大，拉拢人们来跟从他。后来他也丧命，跟从他的人也就烟消云散了。至于目前的事，我劝你们不要管这些人，由他们吧！因为这计划或这行动，如果是出于人意，终必失败；如果是出于神，你们就不能破坏他们，恐怕你们是与神作对了。”他们接受了他的劝告，

于是众人大嚷大闹，有几个法利赛派的经学家站起来辩论说：“我们看不出这个人作过什么坏事；说不定有灵或天使对他说过话。”

我发现他被控告，是为了他们律法上的问题，并没有什么该死该绑的罪名。

虽然以利拿单、第莱雅和基玛利雅恳求王不要烧这书卷，王却不听他们，

众领袖对巴录说：“你和耶利米都要去躲藏起来；不要给人知道你们在什么地方。”

我查明他没有犯什么该死的罪，但是他自己既然要向皇上上诉，我就决定把他解去。

这时你若是缄默不言，犹大人必会从别的地方得着解救，那时你和你的父家就必灭亡。谁知你得了王后的位分，不是为了挽救现今的危机吗？”

彼拉多说：“为什么呢？他作了什么恶事呢？”众人更加大声喊叫：“把他钉十字架！”彼拉多见无济于事，反会引起骚动，就拿水在群众面前洗手，说：“流这人的血，与我无关，你们自己负责吧。”

退到一边，彼此谈论，说：“这个人并没有犯过什么该死该绑的罪。”亚基帕对非斯都说：“这个人若没有向凯撒上诉，早就可以释放了。”

百夫长和跟他一起看守耶稣的士兵，看见了地震和所发生的事情，就十分惧怕，说：“这个人真是神的儿子。”

宫中的臣宰古实人以伯．米勒，在王宫里听见他们把耶利米关在井里的消息（那时，王正在便雅悯门坐着），以伯．米勒就从王宫里出来，禀告王说：“我主我王啊！这些人对耶利米先知所作的一切真是恶毒，他们把他丢在井里；在那地方他必饿死，因为城里再没有粮食了。”于是王吩咐古实人以伯．米勒说：“你从这里带三十个人，在耶利米先知未死以前，把他从井里拉上来。”以伯．米勒就带人进王宫去，到储物室下面的一个房间，从那里取了些破布烂衣，用绳子缒下井里给耶利米。古实人以伯．米勒对耶利米说：“把这些破布烂衣垫在你的腋下，然后束上绳子。”耶利米就这样作了。于是他们用绳子把耶利米从井里拉出来；这样，耶利米可以住在卫兵的院子里。

对他们说：“你们把这人押到我这里来，说他煽惑群众，我已经在你们面前审讯过，在他身上一点也找不到你们控告他的罪状，连希律也找不到，又把他送回我这里，可见他没有作过该死的事。

祭司和先知对领袖和众民说：“这人应该处死，因为他说预言攻击这城，正如你们亲耳听见的。”

人所行的，若是蒙耶和华喜悦，耶和华也使他的仇敌与他和好。

我们是罪有应得的。我们所受的与所作的相称，然而这个人并没有作过什么不对的事。”

百夫长看见所发生的事，就颂赞神，说：“这真是个义人！”
