Be assured, however, that if you put me to death, you will bring the guilt of innocent blood on yourselves and on this city and on those who live in it, for in truth the Lord has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing.”

But you can be sure of one thing. If you put me to death, you will be held responsible for spilling my blood. And I haven’t even done anything wrong. You will bring guilt on yourselves and this city and those who live in it. The Lord has sent me to you. He wanted me to say all these things so you could hear them. And that’s the truth.”

不欺壓異鄉人和孤兒寡婦，不在這地方濫殺無辜，不拜其他神明自取毀滅，

高傲的眼睛，撒謊的舌頭，殺害無辜的手，

這樣，你們就不致玷污你們所居住的土地，因為血會玷污土地。除非用兇手的血作抵償，否則被血玷污的土地無法得到潔淨。

密謀逮捕、殺害耶穌。

耶和華說，你們為人要公義正直，要從欺壓者手中解救受剝削的人。不要欺凌、虐待異鄉人和孤兒寡婦，不可在這地方濫殺無辜。

由於他們流了眾聖徒和先知們的血，現在你使他們喝血，這正是他們應得的報應。」

「主啊，不要追究他們的罪！」說完後，就斷氣了。

這些猶太人殺死了主耶穌和眾先知，又迫害我們。他們不但冒犯上帝，還與所有的人為敵，阻止我們傳福音給外族人，唯恐他們得救。這些人惡貫滿盈，上帝的烈怒終於臨到了他們頭上。

『如果我們活在我們祖先的時代，絕不會和他們一起去殺害先知。』這樣，你們自己證明自己是殺害先知之人的後代。去填滿你們祖先的罪惡吧！你們這些蛇，這些毒蛇的後代啊，你們怎能逃脫地獄的刑罰呢？「看啊，我派先知、智者和律法教師到你們當中，有的會遭到你們的殺害，被你們釘在十字架上；有的會在會堂裡被你們鞭打，被你們從這城追到那城。因此，所有義人在地上所流的血，就是從義人亞伯的血，直到你們在聖所和祭壇之間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒加利亞的血，都要歸到你們身上。我實在告訴你們，這一切的罪責都要歸到這個世代。

呂便說：「我不是勸你們不要犯罪害那孩子嗎？你們不聽，現在我們必須償還血債了。」

瑪拿西濫殺無辜，使耶路撒冷血流遍地，耶和華不會赦免這些罪行。

你們的衣服沾滿無辜窮人的血，他們並沒有進你們的家偷竊。

可是，你一心貪圖不義之財，濫殺無辜，橫徵暴斂。」

我責打你們的兒女，卻是徒勞，因為他們不受管教。你們殺害你們的先知，殘暴如獅子。

出賣耶穌的猶大問祂：「老師，是我嗎？」耶穌說：「你自己說了。」

耶和華說：「你做了什麼事？你弟弟的血從地裡向我哭訴。

免得無辜人的血流在你們的上帝耶和華賜給你們作產業之地，以致你們擔當枉殺無辜的罪。
