Now reform your ways and your actions and obey the Lord your God. Then the Lord will relent and not bring the disaster he has pronounced against you.

So change the way you live and act. Obey the Lord your God. Then he won’t do what he said he would. He won’t bring on you the trouble he said he would bring.

Now therefore mend your ways and your deeds, and obey the voice of the Lord your God, and the Lord will relent of the disaster that he has pronounced against you.

But if you stop your sinning and begin to obey the Lord your God, he will change his mind about this disaster that he has announced against you.

So now, correct your ways and deeds, and obey the LORD your God so that he might relent concerning the disaster he had pronounced against you.

或天主回厥志、息其盛怒、使我不亡、亦未可知、

我所言之國、如改其惡行、則我亦改我旨、不降所欲降之災、

庶幾彼眾聽從、各舍惡途、則我心回意轉、不降我因其惡行所欲降彼之災、

猶大王希西家與猶大庶民、何嘗殺之、惟希西家敬畏主、祈禱主、則主更易其志、不降所言欲降之災、我儕今竟欲行此大惡、自取罪戾、

禱主曰、主歟、我在故土、豈未言必有此乎、緣此遁於他施、蓋我知主乃仁慈矜憫之天主、不遽震怒、廣施恩惠、主乃仁慈矜憫之天主不遽震怒廣施恩惠或作主乃賜恩施憐憫之天主容忍不易怒大發仁慈所定之災、回志不降、所定之災回志不降或作回志不降所言之災

主或回心、留遺餘福、使爾得以在主爾之天主前、獻祭灌奠、亦未可知、

如爾願聽而順從、可食地之美產、

我屢遣我僕眾先知告爾云、爾當各離惡道、作為從善、勿從他神而崇事、則可得居於我所賜爾與爾列祖之地、惟爾不傾耳、不聽我、

惡人當離其途、不義者當屏除其謀、其謀或作私念歸誠於主、主必矜恤之、當歸誠於我天主、蓋天主廣行赦宥、

及成全、則為凡順服之者成為永救之原、

耶利米曰、必不付爾、凡主之言、我所述於爾者、爾其聽從、則獲大益、得保全生命、

或者猶大族聞我所欲降之諸災、各改其惡行、則我赦其愆尤罪惡、

如爾仍居於斯地、我必建造爾、不復拆毀、栽植爾、不復拔除、我降災於爾、我已悔之、

主既為之立士師、主則祐其士師、士師在世時、主救民脫於敵手、因民受敵之暴虐、逼迫而哀號、主則憐恤之、
