I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,” declares the Lord,“ and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting ruin.

So I will send for all the nations in the north. And I will send for my servant Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon,’ announces the Lord.‘ I will bring all of them against this land and against you who live here. They will march out against all the nations that are around this land. I will set apart Judah and the nations around it in a special way to be destroyed. People will be shocked because of them. And they will make fun of them. Those nations will be destroyed forever.

我將使迦勒底人振興、殘忍疾作、遍行天下、強據邦國、其威可畏、聽訟之時、獨斷獨行、彼之驍騎、行疾於豹、趨迅於狼、狼夜出、其暴更甚、乘者遠來、橫行四方、迅速若鷹、吞噬其所得、其色甚厲、若東風驟起、既至斯土、強據人民、所獲俘囚、有若海沙、藐視君王、姍笑牧伯、譏嘲城邑、築土壘而下之、

必張其旌旆、號召地極之民、招徠遠方之眾、倉猝之間、無不咸集、其中困乏者無人、顛躓者無人、寢寐者無人、不褫其帶、不解其履、礪其鏃、則甚利、引其弓、則已滿、馬蹄堅於火石、車輪疾於颶風、狂吼若牝獅、咆哮若稚獅、斷傷其所得、曳入於穴、欲求援手、迄無一人、蓋是日也、敵軍之勢、若海濤之澎湃、人望岸間、其象愁慘、其色幽暗、晦其光明、蔽以靉靆。

有國使來自以東王、摩押王、亞捫王、推羅王、西頓王、至耶路撒冷、覲猶大王西底家、爾取縶與軛、使國使饋於列王、告之曰、萬有之主以色列族之上帝耶和華云、爾當奏爾主、云、我耶和華、以巨能大力、肇造寰宇、以及庶民百獸、以地錫人、惟我所欲。我今以列邦予我僕、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、亦使野獸供役、列國之人必服事之、爰及子孫、屆滅國之期而後已、厥後邦國眾多、列王顯赫、必使巴比倫王供其服役。耶和華又曰、凡諸邦國、不肯服軛、事巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒者、必以鋒刃、饑饉瘟疫罰之、翦滅務盡。

耶和華曰、大邦之民、勃然而興、來從北方、至自地極。執弓持戟、殘忍不慈、聲若海濤、乘馬列陳、以戰郇邑。先知曰、我聞其聲、已喪厥膽、我懷憂戚、若婦將產。勿往於田、勿行於途、敵人執刃、四周震懼、殘賊猝至、民必衣麻、坐於塗炭、舉哀甚慘、若喪獨子。

禍自北至、毀傷特甚、爾便雅憫子孫、宜和集、出耶路撒冷、在提哥亞吹角、在伯哈西林舉烽火、

侍衛長告耶利米曰、昔爾曹負罪、干犯耶和華、不遵其命、爾之上帝耶和華言、必降災於斯土、今一如其言、爾曹遇難其驗也。

耶和華告以色列族曰、遠方有國、歷年已久、其民強悍、其方言爾不識。其所語爾不明、我必使之攻爾。所統士卒、無不英武、一啟厥弢、令人歸墓。

敵馬噴氣、聞自但邑、驊騮嘶鳴、遍地震動、彼至斯土、吞噬邑眾、以及土產。

我震怒斯民、使亞述人、為杖箠以擊之、亞述人亦有禍矣、

我必驅逐、散於列邦、遭人陷害凌辱、受人詛咒譏刺。

緣爾不聽爾上帝耶和華命、不守其所諭禮儀禁令、故此災禍襲於爾後、恆臨爾上、至於滅亡。禍及爾身、至於子孫、人必視為駭異、垂為儆戒、歷世勿替。爾當全盛之時、不中心欣喜、奉事爾之上帝耶和華。故耶和華必遣敵攻爾、使爾饑渴、裸體匱乏、服役於敵、彼於鐵軛置於爾頸、迨爾滅亡。耶和華必使遠民、如鷹之飛、來自地極。攻擊爾曹、其方言爾不之識、其容強悍、不眷顧耆老、不矜恤幼稚。

王志所向、耶和華挽其意、如回狂瀾於既倒。

我即取爵而往、至耶和華所遣我諸國、使彼飲之、至耶路撒冷及猶大諸邑、與厥王公、使彼喪亡、見之者無不駭愕、怨聲咒詛、今日之事為徵。亦至埃及王法老、以及群臣眾庶、與非同族者、及烏士、非利士、亞實基倫、迦薩、以革倫國王亞實突遺民、以東、摩押、亞捫、推羅諸王、西頓諸王、海島諸王、底但、提馬、布斯、與薙髮之四周者、亞喇伯諸王、與異族諸王、同居曠野、心哩諸王、以攔諸王、米太諸王、北方諸王、無間遐邇、爰及天下列邦、厥後示殺王、亦飲斯爵。

為爾背約、故以鋒刃擊爾、洩我忿怒。爾若集於邑垣、我必使疫癘流行、付爾於敵。既減爾食、十婦炊餅於一爐、較量其數、爾雖得食、不能果腹。汝猶不聽從我言、所行逆我、我必震怒、降罰於爾、督責爾罪、至於七倍、使爾殘食子女。爾造日象、築崇邱、我必毀之、棄爾尸骸、以及偶像、共相枕藉、我中心憾爾、毀爾邑垣、使聖所寂寞、不享爾馨香。爾國荒涼。如是之甚、使敵居斯土、無不駭異。我必散爾於異邦、襲爾以白刃、荒寂爾居、掃除爾邑。爾既轉徙於敵國、則斯土荒寂、其壤可享安息。汝居斯土、遇安息日期、壤無憩息、故荒寂時、可獲憩息。爾曹猶有孑遺、處於敵國、必使爾心畏葸、風吹葉落、偶聞其聲、則懼而遁、若避鋒刃、即無追者、亦必隕沒。自相蹂躪、如擊以刃、拒敵無能。爾必危亡於異邦、並吞於敵國、爾曹猶有孑遺、處於敵國、為一己之愆尤、並前人之罪戾、日漸消亡。如其能任己愆、及前人之罪、自知差失、所行逆我、受我譴責、驅至敵國、在彼服罪、緣其不潔之心、卑以自牧、則我必追憶曩時與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約、而俯念斯土。以色列民蔑我法度、憾我禮儀、使其故土遠離、田疇荒寂、於斯時也、土地得享安息、待民服罪。彼驅於敵國、我不屏斥之、厭棄之、殲滅之、不廢我約、蓋我耶和華尚為其上帝。昔我耶和華導以色列祖出於埃及、為其上帝、越在異邦、無不目擊、故我必念其盟約。以上之禮儀典章律法、乃耶和華於西乃山諭摩西、使告以色列族遵行者。
