牧者必無遁路、引群羊者不能逃避、

The shepherds will have nowhere to flee, the leaders of the flock no place to escape.

The shepherds won’t have any place to run to. The leaders of the flock won’t be able to escape.

No refuge will remain for the shepherds, nor escape for the lords of the flock.

You will find no place to hide; there will be no way to escape.

Flight will be impossible for the shepherds, and escape, for the leaders of the flock.

There will be no sanctuary for the shepherds, Nor escape for the masters of the flock.

And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.

Therefore flight shall perish from the swift, The strong shall not strengthen his power, Nor shall the mighty deliver himself;

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and they overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. All his army was scattered from him.So they took the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he pronounced judgment on him.Then the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. And he killed all the princes of Judah in Riblah.He also put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in bronze fetters, took him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.

Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,and said to the mountains and rocks,“ Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

And you shall not escape from his hand, but shall surely be taken and delivered into his hand; your eyes shall see the eyes of the king of Babylon, he shall speak with you face to face, and you shall go to Babylon.’”’

I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said:“ Strike the doorposts, that the thresholds may shake, And break them on the heads of them all. I will slay the last of them with the sword. He who flees from them shall not get away, And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered.“ Though they dig into hell, From there my hand shall take them; Though they climb up to heaven, From there I will bring them down;And though they hide themselves on top of Carmel, From there I will search and take them; Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea, From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them;

For the day of the Lord of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up— And it shall be brought low—Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, And upon all the oaks of Bashan;Upon all the high mountains, And upon all the hills that are lifted up;Upon every high tower, And upon every fortified wall;Upon all the ships of Tarshish, And upon all the beautiful sloops.The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; The Lord alone will be exalted in that day,But the idols He shall utterly abolish.They shall go into the holes of the rocks, And into the caves of the earth, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily.In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver And his idols of gold, Which they made, each for himself to worship, To the moles and bats,To go into the clefts of the rocks, And into the crags of the rugged rocks, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily.Sever yourselves from such a man, Whose breath is in his nostrils; For of what account is he?

But if you do not surrender to the king of Babylon’s princes, then this city shall be given into the hand of the Chaldeans; they shall burn it with fire, and you shall not escape from their hand.’”

That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain.

‘ so they shall surrender all your wives and children to the Chaldeans. You shall not escape from their hand, but shall be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon. And you shall cause this city to be burned with fire.’”

The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the second priest, and the three doorkeepers.He also took out of the city an officer who had charge of the men of war, seven men of the king’s close associates who were found in the city, the principal scribe of the army who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the midst of the city.And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took these and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.Then the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive from its own land.

It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord will punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the earth the kings of the earth.They will be gathered together, As prisoners are gathered in the pit, And will be shut up in the prison; After many days they will be punished.Then the moon will be disgraced And the sun ashamed; For the Lord of hosts will reign On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem And before His elders, gloriously.

and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape from the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face, and see him eye to eye;

“ He who flees from the fear shall fall into the pit, And he who gets out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For upon Moab, upon it I will bring The year of their punishment,” says the Lord.

Since he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, and in fact gave his hand and still did all these things, he shall not escape.’”

But he rebelled against him by sending his ambassadors to Egypt, that they might give him horses and many people. Will he prosper? Will he who does such things escape? Can he break a covenant and still be delivered?
