For this is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to make you a horror to yourself and to all your friends; and while your eyes look on, they will fall by the sword of their enemies. So I will hand all Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will take them away as exiles to Babylon and will kill them with the sword.

因耶和華如此說：『我必使你自覺驚嚇，你也必使眾朋友驚嚇；他們必倒在仇敵的刀下，你也必親眼看見；我必將猶大人全交在巴比倫王的手中，他要將他們擄到巴比倫去，也要用刀將他們殺戮。

蓋耶和華曰、我必使爾驚惶、爾之友朋因而驚惶、彼必仆於敵刃、為爾目睹、我將付猶大眾於巴比倫王、虜至巴比倫、殺之以刃、

蓋耶和華曰、我將使爾恆有懼心、友朋見爾、莫不悚懼、爾友將亡於刃、使爾目睹、蓋巴比倫王將伐猶大、殺戮殆盡、擄其民人、而反、我使之然。

蓋主如是云、我將使爾驚惶、使爾友朋見爾驚惶、彼將殞亡於敵人之刃、使爾目睹、我亦必以猶大眾、付於巴比倫王手、擄至巴比倫、亦擊之以刃、

For this is what the Lord says:‘ I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; with your own eyes you will see them fall by the sword of their enemies. I will give all Judah into the hands of the king of Babylon, who will carry them away to Babylon or put them to the sword.

The Lord says to you,‘ I will make you a terror to yourself. You will also be a terror to all your friends. With your own eyes you will see them die. Their enemies will kill them with swords. I will hand over all the people of Judah to the king of Babylon. He will carry them away to Babylon or kill them with swords.

For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon. He shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall strike them down with the sword.

For this is what the Lord says:‘ I will send terror upon you and all your friends, and you will watch as they are slaughtered by the swords of the enemy. I will hand the people of Judah over to the king of Babylon. He will take them captive to Babylon or run them through with the sword.

for this is what the LORD says,‘ I am about to make you a terror to both yourself and those you love. They will fall by the sword of their enemies before your very eyes. I will hand Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will deport them to Babylon and put them to the sword.

For thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall see it. For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it; and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.

for this is what the Lord says,‘ I am about to make you a terror to both yourself and those you love. They will fall by the sword of their enemies before your very eyes. I will hand Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will deport them to Babylon and put them to the sword.

For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold[ it]: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.

For the LORD says,‘ I will make both you and your friends terrified of what will happen to you. You will see all of them die by the swords of their enemies. I will hand all the people of Judah over to the king of Babylon. He will carry some of them away into exile in Babylon and he will kill others of them with the sword.

For Yahweh says,‘ Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They will fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes will see it. I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will carry them captive to Babylon, and will kill them with the sword.

‘ This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah and concerning Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying to you falsely in My name:“ Behold, I am going to hand them over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will kill them before your eyes.

behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ declares the Lord,‘ and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these surrounding nations; and I will completely destroy them and make them an object of horror and hissing, and an everlasting place of ruins.

Then the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes at Riblah; the king of Babylon also slaughtered all the nobles of Judah.He then blinded Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him in shackles of bronze to bring him to Babylon.

All around sudden terrors frighten him, And harass him at every step.His strength is famished, And disaster is ready at his side.It devours parts of his skin, The firstborn of death devours his limbs.He is torn from the security of his tent, And they march him before the king of terrors.Nothing of his dwells in his tent; Brimstone is scattered on his home.His roots are dried below, And his branch withers above.The memory of him perishes from the earth, And he has no name abroad.He is driven from light into darkness, And chased from the inhabited world.He has no offspring or descendants among his people, Nor any survivor where he resided.Those in the west are appalled at his fate, And those in the east are seized with horror.Certainly these are the dwellings of the wicked, And this is the place of him who does not know God.”

‘ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says:“ Behold, I am going to turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you are making war against the king of Babylon and the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the wall; and I will gather them into the middle of this city.And I Myself will make war against you with an outstretched hand and a mighty arm, and in anger, wrath, and great indignation.I will also strike the inhabitants of this city, both the people and the animals; they will die of a great plague.Then afterward,” declares the Lord,“ I will hand Zedekiah king of Judah, his servants, and the people, that is, those who survive in this city from the plague, the sword, and the famine, over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to their enemies, and to those who seek their lives; and he will strike and kill them with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them nor have pity nor compassion.” ’“ You shall also say to this people,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death.Anyone who stays in this city will die by the sword, by famine, or by plague; but anyone who leaves and goes over to the Chaldeans who are besieging you will live, and he will have his own life as plunder.For I have set My face against this city for harm and not for good,” declares the Lord.“ It will be handed over to the king of Babylon and he will burn it with fire.” ’

Yet I will not cut off every man of yours from My altar, so that your eyes will fail from weeping and your soul grieve, and all the increase of your house will die in the prime of life.

Then the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was led into exile from its land.

When he fills his belly, God will send His fierce anger on him And rain it on him while he is eating.He may flee from the iron weapon, But the bronze bow will pierce him.It is drawn and comes out of his back, Even the flashing point from his gallbladder; Terrors come upon him,Complete darkness is held in reserve for his treasures, And unfanned fire will devour him; It will consume the survivor in his tent.

How they are destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by sudden terrors!

And they will take up a song of mourning over you and say to you,‘ How you have perished, you inhabited one, From the seas, you famous city, Which was mighty on the sea, She and her inhabitants, Who imposed her terror On all her inhabitants!Now the coastlands will tremble On the day of your downfall; Yes, the coastlands which are by the sea Will be horrified at your passing.’ ”For this is what the Lord God says:“ When I make you a desolate city, like the cities which are not inhabited, when I bring up the deep over you and the great waters cover you,then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of old, and I will make you remain in the lower parts of the earth, like the ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, so that you will not be inhabited; but I will put glory in the land of the living.I will cause you sudden terrors and you will no longer exist; though you will be sought, you will never be found again,” declares the Lord God.

And they slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, then put out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him with bronze shackles, and brought him to Babylon.

saying,“ I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” But they said,“ What is that to us? You shall see to it yourself!”And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and left; and he went away and hanged himself.

“ This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says:‘ Behold, I am going to bring on this city and all its towns the entire disaster that I have declared against it, because they have stiffened their necks so as not to listen to My words.’ ”

Among those nations you will find no peace, and there will be no resting place for the sole of your foot; but there the Lord will give you a trembling heart, failing of eyes, and despair of soul.So your lives will be hanging in doubt before you; and you will be terrified night and day, and have no assurance of your life.In the morning you will say,‘ If only it were evening!’ And at evening you will say,‘ If only it were morning!’ because of the terror of your heart which you fear, and the sight of your eyes which you will see.

Do not go out into the field, And do not walk on the road; For the enemy has a sword, Terror is on every side.

“ Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?”Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am going to hand this city over to the Chaldeans and to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it.And the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city will enter and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses where people have offered incense to Baal on their roofs and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke Me to anger.For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been doing only evil in My sight since their youth; for the sons of Israel have been only provoking Me to anger by the work of their hands,” declares the Lord.“ Indeed this city has been to Me a provocation of My anger and My wrath since the day that they built it, even to this day, so that it should be removed from My sight,

Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people, while your eyes look on and long for them constantly; but there will be nothing you can do.A people whom you do not know will eat the produce of your ground and every product of your labor, and you will never be anything but oppressed and mistreated continually.You will also be driven insane by the sight of what you see.
