Yahweh says,“ What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they have gone far from me, and have walked after worthless vanity, and have become worthless?

耶和华如此说：“你们的列祖见我有什么不义，竟远离我，随从虚无的神，自己成为虚妄的呢？

耶和华如此说：“你们的祖先看我有什么错处，竟远离我，随从那虚无的神明，自己成为虚无呢？

耶和华如此说：“你们的祖先看我有什么错处，竟远离我，随从那虚无的神明，自己成为虚无呢？

耶和华说：“你们的祖先在我身上找到什么过错，以致他们远离我，去追随虚妄的神明，使自己变得虚妄呢？

耶和华这样说：“你们列祖在我身上究竟发现了什么不义，使他们远离我，随从虚无的偶像，自己也成了虚妄呢？

耶和華如此說：你們的列祖見我有甚麼不義，竟遠離我，隨從虛無的神，自己成為虛妄的呢？

耶和華如此說：「你們的祖先看我有甚麼錯處，竟遠離我，隨從那虛無的神明，自己成為虛無呢？

耶和華如此說：「你們的祖先看我有甚麼錯處，竟遠離我，隨從那虛無的神明，自己成為虛無呢？

耶和華說：「你們的祖先在我身上找到什麼過錯，以致他們遠離我，去追隨虛妄的神明，使自己變得虛妄呢？

耶和華這樣說：“你們列祖在我身上究竟發現了甚麼不義，使他們遠離我，隨從虛無的偶像，自己也成了虛妄呢？

永恆主這麼說：『你們列祖見我有甚麼不對，竟遠離了我，去隨從虛無神，而自己成為虛妄呢？

耶和華曰、爾祖視我有何不義、而遐棄我、從事虛無、成為虛妄乎、

耶和華曰、維昔爾祖、見我所為、有何苛政、故背逆予、崇事虛無、所為放誕、

主如是云、昔爾列祖遠離我、從虛無之神、行虛誕之事、曾見我有何不義、

This is what the Lord says:“ What fault did your ancestors find in me, that they strayed so far from me? They followed worthless idols and became worthless themselves.

The Lord says,“ What did your people of long ago find wrong with me? Why did they wander so far away from me? They worshiped worthless statues of gods. Then they themselves became worthless.

Thus says the Lord:“ What wrong did your fathers find in me that they went far from me, and went after worthlessness, and became worthless?

This is what the Lord says:“ What did your ancestors find wrong with me that led them to stray so far from me? They worshiped worthless idols, only to become worthless themselves.

This is what the LORD says: What fault did your ancestors find in me that they went so far from me, followed worthless idols, and became worthless themselves?

This is what the Lord says:“ What injustice did your fathers find in Me, That they went far from Me, And walked after emptiness and became empty?

Thus says the Lord:“ What injustice have your fathers found in Me, That they have gone far from Me, Have followed idols, And have become idolaters?

Thus saith Jehovah, What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

This is what the Lord says: What fault did your fathers find in Me that they went so far from Me, followed worthless idols, and became worthless themselves?

Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

This is what the Lord says:“ What fault could your ancestors have possibly found in me that they strayed so far from me? They paid allegiance to worthless idols, and so became worthless to me.

They rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified to them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom Yahweh had commanded them that they should not do like them.

Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.

Those who regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. They have provoked me to anger with their vanities. I will move them to jealousy with those who are not a people. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

“ Every man has become brutish without knowledge. Every goldsmith is disappointed by his image; for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.They are vanity, a work of delusion. In the time of their visitation, they will perish.

Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.

Everyone who makes a carved image is vain. The things that they delight in will not profit. Their own witnesses don’t see, nor know, that they may be disappointed.

Every man has become brutish and without knowledge. Every goldsmith is disappointed by his engraved image; for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.They are vanity, a work of delusion. In the time of their visitation they will perish.

Don’t turn away to go after vain things which can’t profit or deliver, for they are vain.

Hear, you mountains, Yahweh’s controversy, and you enduring foundations of the earth; for Yahweh has a controversy with his people, and he will contend with Israel.My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me!

“ Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;

“ Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to yield grapes, did it yield wild grapes?

Generation, consider Yahweh’s word. Have I been a wilderness to Israel? Or a land of thick darkness? Why do my people say,‘ We have broken loose. We will come to you no more?’

Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? Or can the sky give showers? Aren’t you he, Yahweh our God? Therefore we will wait for you; for you have made all these things.

The Lord said,“ Because this people draws near with their mouth and honors me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;

But they are together brutish and foolish, instructed by idols! It is just wood.

‘ These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

You have planted them. Yes, they have taken root. They grow. Yes, they produce fruit. You are near in their mouth, and far from their heart.

“ Son of man, your brothers, even your brothers, the men of your relatives, and all the house of Israel, all of them, are they to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said,‘ Go far away from Yahweh. This land has been given to us for a possession.’”

Yet you have not called on me, Jacob; but you have been weary of me, Israel.You have not brought me any of your sheep for burnt offerings, neither have you honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, nor wearied you with frankincense.
