爾曹斯代之人、當聽我言、我於以色列人、豈曾如曠野、豈曾如幽暗之地乎、我民何故言曰、我欲離約束自由、我欲離約束自由或作我欲飄流不復歸爾、

这世代的人哪，你们要看明耶和华的话。我岂向以色列作旷野呢？或作幽暗之地呢？我的百姓为何说：‘我们脱离约束，再不归向你了’？

这世代的人哪！你们要注意耶和华的话：‘对以色列人来说，难道我是旷野，或是黑暗的地方？我的子民为什么说：我们自由了，不再到你那里去了？

但你們呢，這世代的人哪，你們要看明白永恆主的話。難道我對以色列竟成了曠野？或是極幽暗之地？我的人民為甚麼說：「我們漫遊無拘了；我們再也不來歸你了」？

斯世之人歟、當明耶和華之言、我於以色列族、豈為幽曠之野、杳冥之域乎、我民奚曰、我已放縱、不復詣爾、

斯世之人、宜聽我言、我眷佑以色列族、詎若幽曠之野、杳冥之域哉。何以我民放縱、不肯詣予。

“ You of this generation, consider the word of the Lord:“ Have I been a desert to Israel or a land of great darkness? Why do my people say,‘ We are free to roam; we will come to you no more’?

“ You who are now living, consider my message. I am saying,“ Have I been like a desert to Israel? Have I been like a land of deep darkness? Why do my people say,‘ We are free to wander. We won’t come to you anymore’?

And you, O generation, behold the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, or a land of thick darkness? Why then do my people say,‘ We are free, we will come no more to you’?

“ O my people, listen to the words of the Lord! Have I been like a desert to Israel? Have I been to them a land of darkness? Why then do my people say,‘ At last we are free from God! We don’t need him anymore!’

Evil generation, pay attention to the word of the LORD! Have I been a wilderness to Israel or a land of dense darkness? Why do my people claim,“ We will go where we want; we will no longer come to you”?

You generation, look to the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, Or a land of thick darkness? Why do My people say,‘ We are free to roam; We will no longer come to You’?

O generation, see ye the word of Jehovah. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? or a land of thick darkness? wherefore say my people, We are broken loose; we will come no more unto thee?

Evil generation, pay attention to the word of the Lord! Have I been a wilderness to Israel or a land of dense darkness? Why do My people claim,“ We will go where we want; we will no longer come to You”?

Generation, consider Yahweh’s word. Have I been a wilderness to Israel? Or a land of thick darkness? Why do my people say,‘ We have broken loose. We will come to you no more?’

耶書崙胖奔踶不馴、其身肥腯為脂所蒙、遂違棄造之之天主、救之之主彼竟藐視、

猶大王烏西亞、以色列王約阿施子耶羅波安在位時、地震前二年、提哥亞諸牧中亞摩斯、得默示論以色列、其言如左、

我若富、恐我飽而不認主、云主為誰、我若貧、恐我盜竊、以致妄稱我天主之名、○

斯民得食而飽、既飽則必驕傲、因而忘我、

爾已飽飫、已豐富、不賴我儕、爾自掌權、爾自掌權或作爾目掌權乎我誠願爾掌權、使我儕可同掌權、

我既導之入我所誓許其祖之地、即流乳與蜜之地、彼得食而飽、身肥體胖、斯時也、必從異邦之神而服事之、干犯我怒、違背我約、

恐爾食而飽、建美室而居、牛羊蕃多、金銀加增、凡爾所有、無不豐裕、遂心高氣傲、忘主爾之天主、昔導爾出伊及爾為奴之地、

惡人心驕氣傲、無所顧慮、其思念所致、以為無天主、

我知爾之作為、爾不冷不熱、願爾或冷或熱、爾既不冷不熱、惟在冷熱之間、我將吐爾出我口、爾自言我富厚有財、無所匱缺、不知爾實可憫、困苦、貧乏、瞽目、裸身、

主如是云、昔爾列祖遠離我、從虛無之神、行虛誕之事、曾見我有何不義、彼不求我、不念我曾引之出伊及、導之過曠野沙漠坎阱之地、旱乾幽暗幽暗原文作死陰之地、無人經歷無人居處之地、

我宣命、未嘗在隱秘處、在幽暗地、未曾謂雅各裔曰、爾求我徒然、我乃主、所言者乃仁義、所告者乃誠實、

歷四十年、主養之於野、無所缺乏、其衣不敝、其足不腫、主賜之以邦國、使其四方得地、得西宏之地、希實本王之地、巴珊王噩之地、主使其苗裔蕃衍、如天星眾多、主導之入所許其列祖之地、得以為業、其苗裔入而獲地、主使居斯地之迦南人、敗於其前、將迦南人與迦南君王及斯地之居民、悉付於其手、使任意以待之、彼取鞏固之城邑、膏腴之土地、獲充於嘉物之宅、掘成之井、葡萄園、油果樹園、果木甚多、食之得飽而體胖、蒙主大恩而歡樂、

彼追隨愛之者不得及、尋之不遇、遂曰、不如歸就前夫、我昔時景況、佳於今日、彼不知所得之五穀、酒、油、與所用以飾巴力之多金多銀、皆我所賜、或作彼不知所得之五穀酒油乃我所賜我多賜之金銀彼反用之以飾巴力
