and say, Hear ye the word of Jehovah, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem: thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

耶和华对撒母耳说：“看哪！我要在以色列中行一件事，听见的人，都必耳鸣；

每次扫过的时候，都把你们抓去；因为每早晨它必漫过，白天与黑夜也是这样；人若明白所传的，必受惊恐。

万国都必敬畏耶和华的名；世上列王都敬畏你的荣耀。

那人告诉以利：“我是从战场上来的，今天从战场上逃回来。”以利问：“我儿，事情怎么样？”报信的人回答，说：“以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，伤亡惨重，你两个儿子何弗尼和非尼哈也都死了，民中被杀的甚多，神的约柜也被抢去了。”因为以利年老体重，报信的人一提到神的约柜，以利就从椅子上往后跌倒在门旁，颈骨折断而死。以利治理了以色列四十年。

现在，君王啊！你们要谨慎。地上的审判官啊！你们应当听劝告。

圣灵向众教会所说的话，有耳的就应当听。’”

你们为我的缘故，也要被带到统治者和君王面前，向他们和外族人作见证。

你要对君王和太后说：“你们应从宝座下来，因为华丽的冠冕已经从你们的头上脱下来了。”
