This is what the Lord says:“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people and of the priests

The Lord said to Jeremiah,“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people. Also tell some of the priests to go with you.

Thus says the Lord,“ Go, buy a potter’s earthenware flask, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the elders of the priests,

This is what the Lord said to me:“ Go and buy a clay jar. Then ask some of the leaders of the people and of the priests to follow you.

This is what the LORD says:“ Go, buy a potter’s clay jar. Take some of the elders of the people and some of the leading priests

This is what the Lord says:“ Go and buy a potter’s earthenware jar, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the senior priests.

Thus says the Lord:“ Go and get a potter’s earthen flask, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the elders of the priests.

Thus said Jehovah, Go, and buy a potter’s earthen bottle, and take of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;

This is what the Lord says:“ Go, buy a potter’s clay jar. Take some of the elders of the people and some of the leading priests

Thus said Yahweh,“ Go, and buy a potter’s earthen container, and take some of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;

站在这些像面前的有以色列家的七十个长老，沙番的儿子雅撒尼亚也站在他们中间；各人手里拿着自己的香炉，香的烟往上升。他对我说：“人子啊！以色列家的众长老各在自己偶像的房间里暗中所行的，你看见了吗？他们说：‘耶和华看不见我们，耶和华已经离开这地了。’”

耶和华对摩西说：“你要从以色列的长老中为我召聚七十个人，就是你认识的民间的长老和官长，领他们到会幕那里，叫他们与你一同站在那里。

它的倒塌好像窑匠的瓦器破碎一般，毫不顾惜被彻底粉碎，甚至在碎块中找不到一块，可以用来从炉里取火，或从池中舀水。”

“起来，下到陶匠的家里去，在那里我要使你听到我的话。”我就下到陶匠的家里去，见他正在转盘旁工作。陶匠用他手中的泥所做的器皿坏了，他就用这泥再做别的器皿，照着自己的意思去作。

锡安尊贵的众民，本来和精金一样贵重；现在怎么竟被看为瓦器，好像陶匠手中所作的呢？

我们有这宝贝在瓦器里，是要显明这极大的能力是属于神，不是出于我们。

王又派王宫总管以利亚敬、书记舍伯那和祭司中的长老披上麻布，到亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚先知那里。

那时，祭司长和民间的长老聚集在大祭司该亚法的官邸，

你们要从我的圣所开始，把老年人、少年人、少女、孩童和妇女都杀尽灭绝，只是那些额上有记号的人，你们都不可伤害。”于是他们从殿前那些长老开始杀戮。

后来发现以利亚撒的子孙中，比以他玛的子孙有更多作首领的，就把他们分开班次；以利亚撒子孙中作首领的，按着他们的家族有十六人；以他玛子孙中作首领的，按着他们的家族有八人。以抽签的方式平均地把他们分开，因为在以利亚撒的子孙中和以他玛的子孙中都有人在圣所作领袖，以及在神面前作领袖。作书记的利未人拿坦业的儿子示玛雅，在君王、领袖、撒督祭司、亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒，以及众祭司家族和利未家族的首领面前，把他们的名字记录下来。在以利亚撒的子孙中，有一家族被选取了；在以他玛的子孙中，也有一家族被选取了。

到了早上，所有的祭司长和民间的长老商议怎样对付耶稣，好杀掉他。

祭司长、经学家和长老也同样讥笑他，说：“他救了别人，却不能救自己。如果他是以色列的王，现在可以从十字架上下来，我们就信他。

“然后你要在跟你同去的人眼前，把那瓶子打碎，并对他们说：‘万军之耶和华这样说：我必照样打碎这人民和这城，好像人打碎陶匠的瓦器一样，不能再修补。人必在陀斐特埋葬尸体，甚至无处可埋葬。

‘万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：你要拿这两份买卖契约，就是那封好的和没有加封的，放在一个瓦器里，使它们可以长久保存。

第二天，犹太人的官长、长老、经学家，都聚集在耶路撒冷，还有大祭司亚那和该亚法、约翰、亚历山大，以及大祭司的家人，所有的人都在那里。

那地的长老中有几个人起来，对集合在场的全体人民说：
