Listen to me, Lord; hear what my accusers are saying!

They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.

But Yahweh of Armies, who tests the righteous, who sees the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance on them, for I have revealed my cause to you.

As for me, I will call on God. Yahweh will save me.Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice.

Don’t rejoice against me, my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, Yahweh will be a light to me.

They shoot at him suddenly and fearlessly.

Incline your ear, Yahweh, and hear. Open your eyes, Yahweh, and see. Hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to defy the living God.

“ Hear, our God; for we are despised. Turn back their reproach on their own head. Give them up for a plunder in a land of captivity.Don’t cover their iniquity. Don’t let their sin be blotted out from before you; for they have insulted the builders.”

Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up. All day long, he attacks and oppresses me.My enemies want to swallow me up all day long, for they are many who fight proudly against me.When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
