and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.

And then it does what is evil in my eyes. It does not obey me. Then I will think again about the good things I had wanted to do for it.

and if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will relent of the good that I had intended to do to it.

but then that nation turns to evil and refuses to obey me, I will not bless it as I said I would.

However, if it does what is evil in my sight by not listening to me, I will relent concerning the good I had said I would do to it.

if it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will relent of the good with which I said that I would bless it.

撒母耳对扫罗说：“你作了糊涂事了！你没有谨守耶和华你的神吩咐你的命令。如果你谨守，耶和华就必在以色列中坚立你的王位，直到永远。

“义人若转离他的义去行恶，照着恶人所行一切可憎的事而行，他能存活吗？他所行的一切义都不会被记念；他必因他所行不忠的事和他所犯的罪而灭亡。

“我后悔立了扫罗为王，因为他已经离去不跟随我，也不执行我的命令了。”撒母耳非常忿怒，整夜哀求耶和华。

至于那些偏行弯曲道路的人，耶和华必把他们和作恶的人一同除去。愿平安归于以色列。

撒母耳直到死的日子，再没有看见扫罗。撒母耳为扫罗悲伤，因为耶和华后悔立了扫罗作以色列的王。

我只吩咐他们这一件事，说：‘你们要听从我的话，我就作你们的神，你们也作我的子民；你们要遵行我所吩咐的一切道，好使你们蒙福。’他们却没有听从，也不留心，反倒按着他们的计谋，随从自己顽梗的恶心行事，向后不向前。自从你们列祖出埃及地的那日直到今日，我差遣我的仆人众先知到你们那里去，而且是每日不断差遣。你们（“你们”原文作“他们”）却没有听从，毫不留心，反倒硬着颈项行恶，比你们（“你们”原文作“他们”）的列祖还厉害。“你要把这一切话告诉他们，他们却不听从你；你呼叫他们，他们也不回应。然而，你要对他们说：‘这就是不听从耶和华他们神的话，不受管教的国；诚实丧尽，并已从他们的口中断绝了。

那些转离不跟从耶和华的，不寻找耶和华，也不求问他的。”

这些见过我的荣耀，和我在埃及与旷野所行的神迹的人，仍然试探了我这十次，不听从我的话；

照着你们窥探那地的日数共四十天，一天算一年，你们要担当罪孽四十年，你们就知道我为什么与你们作对。’

正月初七日，你也要为犯了误杀罪的或因愚蒙而犯罪的人这样行，为圣殿赎罪。
