譬彼杜松、生於曠野、其地斥鹵、其壤燥烈、人蹤罕至、不沾膏澤。

必如焭獨人在曠野、不見福降、或作必如杜松生於曠野不見雨澤居於沙漠旱乾之處、無人居之滷地、

That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.

They will be like a bush in a dry and empty land. They will not enjoy success when it comes. They will live in dry places in the desert. It is a land of salt where no one else lives.

He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.

They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.

He will be like a juniper in the Arabah; he cannot see when good comes but dwells in the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land where no one lives.

For he will be like a bush in the desert, And will not see when prosperity comes, But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, A land of salt that is not inhabited.

他无法享用流淌不尽的奶与蜜。

我使它以旷野为家，以盐地作居所。

逃命吧！藏到旷野去吧！

愿他们像房顶的草，没长起来就已枯萎，割下来不满一把，扎起来不足一捆。没有一个路过的人说：“愿耶和华赐福给你们！我们奉耶和华的名祝福你们。”

一个搀扶王的将领对上帝的仆人说：“即使耶和华打开天上的窗户，也不可能发生这样的事！”以利沙说：“你必亲眼看见，却吃不到。”

“蒲草无泥岂可长高？芦苇无水岂可茂盛？它们还在生长、尚未割下，已比百草先枯萎。忘记上帝的人，结局也是如此；不信上帝的人，盼望终必破灭。

他无法逃脱黑暗，火焰要烧焦他的嫩枝，上帝口中的气要毁灭他。他不可自欺，信靠虚空，因为虚空必成为他的回报。在他离世以前，虚空必临到他，他的枝子再不会青绿。他必像一颗葡萄树，葡萄未熟已掉落；又像一颗橄榄树，花刚开便凋零。不信上帝之辈必不生育，受贿者的帐篷必被火烧。

亚比米勒鏖战一天，攻陷了示剑城，杀了城内的居民，把整座城夷为平地，还撒上了盐。

你们必像枯萎的橡树，又如无水的园子。

但那将领对上帝的仆人说：“即使耶和华打开天上的窗户，也不可能发生这样的事！”上帝的仆人说：“你必亲眼看见，却吃不到。”这话果然应验在他身上，他被人群踩死在城门口。

但沼泽和湿洼之地却不会改变，留作产盐之地。

恶人的光景却截然不同！他们就像被风吹散的糠秕。

恶人虽如草滋生，一时亨通，但终必永远灭亡。
