如爾法爾父大衛、誠心實意、行於我前、遵我所諭爾之命、守我律例法度、則我必鞏固爾國位在以色列人中、至於永遠、昔我許爾父大衛曰、爾嗣必繼爾坐以色列國位、永遠不絕、我必踐其言、

主向大衛誠實發誓、決不反覆、曰、我必使爾所出之苗裔、登爾之位、爾子孫若守我約與我所訓之法度、其後裔亦必永遠坐爾之位、因主選擇郇城、樂為駐蹕之所、曰、此乃我永居之處、我所喜愛者、我必居於此間、

獲其馬卒一千七百、步卒二萬、將戰車之馬、斷其足筋、僅存車一百乘、將戰車之馬斷其足筋僅存車一百乘或作將馬斷其足筋僅存馬一百未斷其足筋

曰、治理爾之王必如是、將取爾子使為之御車、充其馬卒、奔走於車前、

使其後裔世世長存、使其國位與天同久、其子孫若違背我訓、不依我法度而行、廢棄我典章、不遵守我命令、我即以杖責其罪愆、以梃罰其過犯、然我恩澤仍不離之、我既應許、決不失信、不廢棄我所立之約、不更改我口中之言、我乃至聖、既向大衛一次指己而誓、決無虛言、必使其後裔存至永遠、使其國位在我前、如日之恆、又與月同久、此乃天上之明證、最為確實、細拉、

惟王者不可多馬、恐因欲得多馬、使民歸於伊及、而主曾諭爾曰、不可復往此途、或作惟王不可多馬勿使民歸伊及以增益馬匹蓋主曾諭爾曰不得復往此途

彼將為大、稱為至上者之子、主即天主將以其祖大衛之位賜之、永為雅各家之王、其國靡暨、

主如是云、當錄斯人為無子嗣者、畢生不亨通、其後裔中、無一人堪坐於大衛之位、復治理猶大、
