他们不是面向我而是背对我，我不厌其烦地教导他们，他们却不肯听，不受教。

“你们这些顽固不化、耳不听心不悔的人，经常抗拒圣灵，所作所为和你们的祖先如出一辙！

我以为这城一定会敬畏我，接受管教，这样我就不必照所定的毁灭她。然而，他们却更加热衷于犯罪作恶。

他们却掩耳不听，一意孤行，任意行恶，越来越坏。从你们的祖先离开埃及那天起，一直到今天，我日复一日地差遣我的仆人——众先知到你们那里，但你们掩耳不听，顽固不化，比你们的祖先更邪恶。

我知道你顽梗，有铁一般的颈项，铜一般的额头。

“‘可是，以色列人却在旷野背叛我，不遵行我的律例和典章——遵行的人必活着，大肆亵渎我的安息日。我本想在旷野向他们发烈怒，灭绝他们。

你要对他们说，‘你们这些国民不听你们上帝耶和华的话，不肯受管教，口中毫无真理。

为使人接受劝诫，为人处事仁义、公平、正直；

使智者听了长学问，明哲听了得指引；

你憎恶我的管教，把我的话抛在脑后。

耶路撒冷啊，你要接受告诫，否则我要离弃你，使你荒无人烟。”

你要对他们说，‘耶和华说，你们的祖先背弃我，去跟随、供奉、祭拜别的神明；他们背弃我，不遵守我的律法。可是，你们的行为比他们更邪恶，一意孤行，不听从我。

光来到世上，世人因为自己的行为邪恶而不爱光，反爱黑暗，这就是他们被定罪的原因。作恶的人恨光，不肯接近光，恐怕他们的罪行暴露出来。但遵行真理的人喜欢接近光，好显明他所做的是靠上帝做的。”

因为他们不遵守我的典章，不顺从我的律例，亵渎我的安息日，心恋偶像。

说：“我为何厌恶教诲，心里藐视责备！

要接受我的教诲，而非白银；要选择知识，而非黄金。

我再三差遣我的仆人——众先知劝你们改邪归正，不要追随、祭拜别的神明，以便你们可以在我赐给你们和你们祖先的土地上安居乐业，你们却充耳不闻，毫不理会。
