哀哉斯邑、居民素多、今則寂寞、若嫠婦獨坐、昔於諸國中最大、列邦尊以為后、而今反為人供役、為人供役或作納貢

主天主曰、當是日我將使日沒於午間、將於白晝使地晦冥、我使爾節期、變為愁慘之日、使爾歡樂之歌、變為哀歌、使爾眾人腰各束麻、首各除髮、我使通國之人我使通國之人原文作我使之哀哭、若喪獨子、使其終局、困苦不堪、使其終局困苦不堪原文作其終局如受苦之日

主曰、斯後我必以猶大王西底家、與其諸臣眾軍、及在斯邑中、遭瘟疫鋒刃饑饉、所遺之人、悉付於巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒之手、其敵之手、索其命者之手、巴比倫王必擊之以刃、不惜之、不憐憫、不矜恤、

主又曰、我決意降之以禍、不降之以福、凡在伊及之猶大人、必亡於鋒刃饑饉、殲滅殆盡、
