I will winnow them with a winnowing fork at the city gates of the land. I will bring bereavement and destruction on my people, for they have not changed their ways.

I will stand at the city gates of the land. I will separate the straw from the grain. I will destroy my people. I will bring great sorrow on them. They have not changed their ways.

The LORD continued,“ In every town in the land I will purge them like straw blown away by the wind. I will destroy my people. I will kill off their children. I will do so because they did not change their behavior.

耶和華為萬有之主、屢擊斯民、尚不知悛改、以求施恩、

其手執箕、盡簸厥禾場、斂穀入倉、而燒糠以不滅之火、○

後簸揚之、任風吹散。我耶和華乃以色列族之聖主、爾曹賴我、其樂靡涯。

降災之日、我必遣人圍巴比倫、使其邦國空虛、若舉扇揮塵、

願其子或死於飢饉、或殞於鋒鏑、丁男受戮、壯士戰沒、其妻為嫠、喪其子女。

耶和華與、爾之鑒觀不爽、加以督責、彼不哀慟、殲滅殆盡、彼不受教、彼顏堅於石、不肯歸誠。

如有生育、我必使之短折、不得成人、我遐棄斯民、禍必不遠、以法蓮若推羅、居於佳境、所生之子、必為人所殺、先知曰、耶和華將何以處之、必使之胎不生子、乳不哺兒。耶和華曰、彼在吉甲、所作不端、為我深憾、因其惡行、牧伯違命、我將驅之於我室、不加眷顧。以法蓮族遭難、其根已槁、不復結果、雖產愛子、我將殄絕、彼不聽余、故我棄之、使之流離於異域。

維彼惡者、猶之秕糠、為風飄揚。

耶和華使先知告民曰、豈有顛仆而不起、迷途而不歸乎。然則耶路撒冷人恆背逆予、固執詭詐、不知悛改、曷故。

爾勿效祖所為、古先知告之曰、萬有之主耶和華云、棄惡勿作、彼不聽從、

人子、越至後日民所倚賴、所欣慕之聖所、爰及子女、我必棄之如遺。

耶和華曰、我將判擬耶路撒冷居民告之曰、我必使災熇之風、來自曠野童山、較簸揚禾穀之風尤大、以擊斯邦之民。

耶和華又曰、我使瘟疫、傳染遍境、與埃及無異、殺爾丁男、擄爾馬匹、爾之營壘、腥羶撲鼻、爾尚不歸誠於我。耶和華又曰、昔我上帝傾圮所多馬蛾摩拉、爾中數人、亦遭隕越、其餘得救、如脫於火、爾尚不歸誠於我、故我必降爾以罰、以色列族乎、爾之上帝將臨汝、必預為備、思何以當之、

爾生子女、不享其福、必為人所虜。

爾當告以色列家云、主耶和華曰、我之聖所、爾素以為榮、素所欣慕者、余必使之被玷、爾所遺之子女、必亡以刃。

身之所生、土之所產、牛羊所出、俱服咒詛。

爾子女擄於異邦、使爾終日瞻望、至於目盲、欲拯無力。

蓋注死者入我牖、侵我殿、在逵衢中、戮孩提、殲壯士、

爾敵環而攻爾、勢甚危迫、使爾食己所生之子女、即爾上帝耶和華所賜者。如是在爾中、最猗儺荏弱之人、必睚眦兄弟、及眷愛之妻室、留遺之子女、不以所食之嬰孩分給之、蓋敵攻邑門、見圍甚迫、物無從得故也。爾中猗儺纖弱之女、因其嬌嬈、以足踐地、猶且不屑、迨敵圍爾邑、迫切之甚、婦至缺乏、俱無所得、則私藏所出之胞衣、所生之嬰孩、以供所食、即其所愛之夫、所生之子女、亦被睚眦、毫不分給。
