你雖然用杵把愚妄人與碎穀一同搗在臼中，他的愚妄還是離不了他。

耶和華啊！你的眼目不是要看誠實的事嗎？你擊打他們，他們卻不覺得傷痛；你摧毀他們，他們仍不肯接受管教。他們板著臉，臉皮比磐石還硬，總不肯回轉。

風箱猛烈地吹，鉛在火中銷熔；他們煉而又煉，徒勞無功，因為邪惡的仍未除去。人要稱他們為被棄的銀渣，因為耶和華把他們棄絕了。
