昔有群民、上帝付爾、爾以自詡、而今安在、爾舉目觀瞻、見民至自北方、

爾舉目而觀、見敵來自北方、昔所付爾之群眾、即爾至美之群羊、而今安在、

Look up and see those who are coming from the north. Where is the flock that was entrusted to you, the sheep of which you boasted?

Jerusalem, look up! Your enemies are coming from the north. Where is the flock you were supposed to take care of? Where are the sheep you were so proud of?

“ Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?

Open up your eyes and see the armies marching down from the north! Where is your flock— your beautiful flock— that he gave you to care for?

Look up and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your pride?

“ Raise your eyes and see Those coming from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, Your beautiful sheep?

Lift up your eyes and see Those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given to you, Your beautiful sheep?

Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?

Look up and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your pride?

Then I said,“ Look up, Jerusalem, and see the enemy that is coming from the north. Where now is the flock of people that were entrusted to your care? Where now are the‘ sheep’ that you take such pride in?

Lift up your eyes, and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given to you, your beautiful flock?

耶和華如此說：看哪，有一種民從北方而來，並有一大國被激動，從地極來到。

我必興起迦勒底人，就是那殘忍暴躁之民，通行遍地，佔據那不屬自己的住處。

耶和華－以色列的神斥責那些牧養他百姓的牧人，如此說：「你們趕散我的羊羣，並沒有看顧他們；我必討你們這行惡的罪。這是耶和華說的。

耶和華對我說：「必有災禍從北方發出，臨到這地的一切居民。」

所以我今日向你們證明，你們中間無論何人死亡，罪不在我身上。因為神的旨意，我並沒有一樣避諱不傳給你們的。聖靈立你們作全羣的監督，你們就當為自己謹慎，也為全羣謹慎，牧養神的教會，就是他用自己血所買來的。我知道，我去之後必有兇暴的豺狼進入你們中間，不愛惜羊羣。

有風聲！看哪，敵人來了！有大擾亂從北方出來，要使猶大城邑變為荒涼，成為野狗的住處。

你們若不聽這話，我必因你們的驕傲在暗地哭泣；我眼必痛哭流淚，因為耶和華的羣眾被擄去了。

因我要在這地興起一個牧人。他不看顧喪亡的，不尋找分散的，不醫治受傷的，也不牧養強壯的；卻要吃肥羊的肉，撕裂牠的蹄子。無用的牧人丟棄羊羣有禍了！刀必臨到他的膀臂和右眼上。他的膀臂必全然枯乾；他的右眼也必昏暗失明。」

田野的諸獸都來吞吃吧！林中的諸獸也要如此。他看守的人是瞎眼的，都沒有知識，都是啞巴狗，不能叫喚；但知做夢，躺臥，貪睡，這些狗貪食，不知飽足。這些牧人不能明白－各人偏行己路，各從各方求自己的利益。他們說：來吧！我去拿酒，我們飽飲濃酒；明日必和今日一樣，就是宴樂無量極大之日。

「所以，你們這些牧人要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，我的羊因無牧人就成為掠物，也作了一切野獸的食物。我的牧人不尋找我的羊；這些牧人只知牧養自己，並不牧養我的羊。所以你們這些牧人要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華如此說：我必與牧人為敵，必向他們的手追討我的羊，使他們不再牧放羣羊；牧人也不再牧養自己。我必救我的羊脫離他們的口，不再作他們的食物。」

若是雇工，不是牧人，羊也不是他自己的，他看見狼來，就撇下羊逃走；狼抓住羊，趕散了羊羣。雇工逃走，因他是雇工，並不顧念羊。
