「人子啊，你要面向南方，向南滴下預言攻擊南方田野的樹林。對南方的樹林說，要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華如此說：我必使火在你中間着起，燒滅你中間的一切青樹和枯樹，猛烈的火焰必不熄滅。從南到北，人的臉面都被燒焦。

也必有人從猶大城邑和耶路撒冷四圍的各處，從便雅憫地、高原、山地，並南地而來，都帶燔祭、平安祭、素祭，和乳香，並感謝祭，到耶和華的殿去。

因耶和華如此說：『我必使你自覺驚嚇，你也必使眾朋友驚嚇；他們必倒在仇敵的刀下，你也必親眼看見；我必將猶大人全交在巴比倫王的手中，他要將他們擄到巴比倫去，也要用刀將他們殺戮。

他拆毀的，就不能再建造；他捆住人，便不得開釋。
