昔有群民、上帝付爾、爾以自詡、而今安在、爾舉目觀瞻、見民至自北方、

爾舉目而觀、見敵來自北方、昔所付爾之群眾、即爾至美之群羊、而今安在、

Look up and see those who are coming from the north. Where is the flock that was entrusted to you, the sheep of which you boasted?

Jerusalem, look up! Your enemies are coming from the north. Where is the flock you were supposed to take care of? Where are the sheep you were so proud of?

“ Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?

Open up your eyes and see the armies marching down from the north! Where is your flock— your beautiful flock— that he gave you to care for?

Look up and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your pride?

Then I said,“ Look up, Jerusalem, and see the enemy that is coming from the north. Where now is the flock of people that were entrusted to your care? Where now are the‘ sheep’ that you take such pride in?

耶和华如此说：“看哪，有一种民从北方而来，并有一大国被激动，从地极来到。

我必兴起迦勒底人，就是那残忍暴躁之民，通行遍地，占据那不属自己的住处。

耶和华以色列的神斥责那些牧养他百姓的牧人，如此说：“你们赶散我的羊群，并没有看顾他们；我必讨你们这行恶的罪。这是耶和华说的。

耶和华对我说：“必有灾祸从北方发出，临到这地的一切居民。”

所以我今日向你们证明，你们中间无论何人死亡，罪不在我身上。因为神的旨意，我并没有一样避讳不传给你们的。圣灵立你们作全群的监督，你们就当为自己谨慎，也为全群谨慎，牧养神的教会，就是他用自己血所买来的。我知道，我去之后必有凶暴的豺狼进入你们中间，不爱惜羊群。

有风声！看哪，敌人来了！有大扰乱从北方出来，要使犹大城邑变为荒凉，成为野狗的住处。”

你们若不听这话，我必因你们的骄傲在暗地哭泣；我眼必痛哭流泪，因为耶和华的群众被掳去了。

因我要在这地兴起一个牧人。他不看顾丧亡的，不寻找分散的，不医治受伤的，也不牧养强壮的；却要吃肥羊的肉，撕裂它的蹄子。”无用的牧人丢弃羊群有祸了！刀必临到他的膀臂和右眼上。他的膀臂必全然枯干；他的右眼也必昏暗失明。

田野的诸兽都来吞吃吧！林中的诸兽也要如此。他看守的人是瞎眼的，都没有知识，都是哑巴狗，不能叫唤；但知做梦，躺卧，贪睡，这些狗贪食，不知饱足。这些牧人不能明白，各人偏行己路，各从各方求自己的利益。他们说：“来吧！我去拿酒，我们饱饮浓酒；明日必和今日一样，就是宴乐无量极大之日。”

“所以，你们这些牧人要听耶和华的话。主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，我的羊因无牧人就成为掠物，也作了一切野兽的食物。我的牧人不寻找我的羊；这些牧人只知牧养自己，并不牧养我的羊。所以你们这些牧人要听耶和华的话。主耶和华如此说：我必与牧人为敌，必向他们的手追讨我的羊，使他们不再牧放群羊；牧人也不再牧养自己。我必救我的羊脱离他们的口，不再作他们的食物。”

若是雇工，不是牧人，羊也不是他自己的，他看见狼来，就撇下羊逃走；狼抓住羊，赶散了羊群。雇工逃走，因他是雇工，并不顾念羊。
