Look up and see those who are coming from the north. Where is the flock that was entrusted to you, the sheep of which you boasted?

Jerusalem, look up! Your enemies are coming from the north. Where is the flock you were supposed to take care of? Where are the sheep you were so proud of?

“ Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?

Open up your eyes and see the armies marching down from the north! Where is your flock— your beautiful flock— that he gave you to care for?

Look up and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your pride?

耶和華這樣說：“看哪！有一個民族從北方之地而來，有一大國被激動從地極來到。

就是要興起迦勒底人，那殘忍兇暴的民；他們遍行全地，佔領別人的家園。

因此，耶和華以色列的神論到牧養他（“他”原文作“我”）子民的牧人這樣說：“你們使我的羊群四散，把牠們趕走，並沒有看顧牠們；看哪！我必因你們的惡行懲罰你們。”這是耶和華的宣告。

耶和華對我說：“必有災禍從北方發出，臨到這地所有的居民。

所以我今天向你們作證，我是清白的，與眾人的罪（“罪”原文作“血”）無關。因為神的全部計劃，我已經毫無保留地傳給你們了。聖靈既然立你們為全群的監督，牧養神用自己的血所贖來的教會，你們就應當為自己謹慎，也為全群謹慎。我知道在我離開之後，必有兇暴的豺狼進入你們中間，不顧惜羊群。

聽哪！有風聲傳來，有大騷動從北方之地而來，要使猶大的城市荒涼，成為野狗的巢穴。

如果你們不聽從，我必因你們的驕傲暗暗哭泣；我的眼必痛哭流淚，因為耶和華的羊群被擄去了。

因為我要在這地興起一個牧人；那些快要喪亡的他不看顧，失散的他不尋找，受傷的他不醫治，強壯的他不餵養，他卻要吃肥羊的肉，撕掉牠們的蹄子。“那丟棄羊群的無用牧人有禍了！願刀劍落在他的膀臂和他的右眼上；願他的膀臂全然枯槁，願他的右眼完全失明！”

田野的百獸啊！你們都來吃吧。林中的百獸啊！你們都要這樣。他的守望者都是瞎眼的，都沒有知識；他們都是啞巴狗，不能吠；只會作夢、躺臥，貪愛睡覺。這些狗十分貪吃，不知飽足；他們是牧人，但甚麼都不明白；他們都偏行自己的道路，各從各方求自己的利益。他們說：“來吧！我去拿酒，讓我們痛飲烈酒吧！明天必像今天一樣，而且比今天還盛大和豐盈。”

“‘因此，你們這些作牧者的，要聽耶和華的話：我指著我的永生起誓，我的羊因沒有牧人，就成了獵物，作了田野一切走獸的食物。我的眾牧者不尋找我的羊；他們只顧牧養自己，卻不牧養我的羊。這是主耶和華的宣告。因此，你們這些作牧者的，要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華這樣說：看哪！我要與眾牧者為敵；我必向他們追討我的羊，使他們不再牧養羊群，也不再牧養自己。我必救我的羊脫離他們的口，不再作他們的食物。

那作雇工不是牧人的，羊也不是自己的，他一見狼來，就把羊撇下逃跑，狼就抓住羊群，把他們驅散了；因為他是個雇工，對羊群漠不關心。
