曠野童山、寇賊已至、遍於四境、民罹鋒刃、被吞噬、不享綏安、我使之然。

行毀者已至曠野諸童山、自國此極至國彼極、主之刃遍行殺戮、凡有血氣者、不得綏安、

Over all the barren heights in the desert destroyers will swarm, for the sword of the Lord will devour from one end of the land to the other; no one will be safe.

Many will come to destroy it. They will gather on the bare hilltops in the desert. I will use them as my sword to destroy my people. They will kill them from one end of the land to the other. No one will be safe.

Upon all the bare heights in the desert destroyers have come, for the sword of the Lord devours from one end of the land to the other; no flesh has peace.

On all the bare hilltops, destroying armies can be seen. The sword of the Lord devours people from one end of the nation to the other. No one will escape!

The plunderers have come On all the desolate heights in the wilderness, For the sword of the Lord shall devour From one end of the land to the other end of the land; No flesh shall have peace.

Destroyers are come upon all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of Jehovah devoureth from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh hath peace.

The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, It drips with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

Or if I were to bring a sword on that country and say,‘ A sword is to pass through the country,’ and I eliminated human and animal life from it,

You, however, I will scatter among the nations, and I will draw out a sword after you, as your land becomes desolate and your cities become ruins.

A third you shall burn in the fire at the center of the city, when the days of the siege are completed. Then you shall take a third and strike it with the sword all around the city, and a third you shall scatter to the wind; for I will unsheathe a sword behind them.

“ There is no peace,” says my God,“ for the wicked.”

For a voice of wailing is heard from Zion:‘ How devastated we are! We are put to great shame, For we have abandoned the land Because they have torn down our homes.’ ”Now hear the word of the Lord, you women, And let your ears receive the word of His mouth; Teach your daughters wailing, And have every woman teach her neighbor a song of mourning.For death has come up through our windows; It has entered our palaces To eliminate the children from the streets, The young men from the public squares.

At that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem,“ A scorching wind from the bare heights in the wilderness, in the direction of the daughter of My people— not to winnow and not to cleanse,a wind too strong for this— will come at My command; now I will also pronounce judgments against them.”“ Behold, he goes up like clouds, And his chariots like the whirlwind; His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us, for we are ruined!”Wash your heart from evil, Jerusalem, So that you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts Lodge within you?For a voice declares from Dan, And proclaims wickedness from Mount Ephraim.

There is no longer praise for Moab; In Heshbon they have devised disaster against her:‘ Come and let’s cut her off from being a nation!’ You too, Madmen, will be silenced; The sword will follow you.

And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that people would kill one another; and a large sword was given to him.

For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again.And if those days had not been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

For behold, the Lord will come in fire, And His chariots like the whirlwind, To render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire.For the Lord will execute judgment by fire And by His sword on humanity, And those put to death by the Lord will be many.

“ You also, Ethiopians, will be slain by My sword.”

“ Raise your eyes to the bare heights and see; Where have you not been violated? You have sat for them by the roads Like an Arab in the desert, And you have defiled a land With your prostitution and your wickedness.

“ Therefore this is what the Lord says:‘ You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming release, each one to his brother and each to his neighbor. Behold, I am proclaiming a release to you,’ declares the Lord,‘ to the sword, to the plague, and to the famine; and I will make you a terror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

And it shall be that when they say to you,‘ Where should we go?’ then you are to tell them,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Those destined for death, to death; And those destined for the sword, to the sword; And those destined for famine, to famine; And those destined for captivity, to captivity.” ’
