殘賊者陟曠野之荒邱、耶和華之刃吞噬斯土、自此至彼、凡有血氣者、罔獲綏安、

Over all the barren heights in the desert destroyers will swarm, for the sword of the Lord will devour from one end of the land to the other; no one will be safe.

Many will come to destroy it. They will gather on the bare hilltops in the desert. I will use them as my sword to destroy my people. They will kill them from one end of the land to the other. No one will be safe.

Upon all the bare heights in the desert destroyers have come, for the sword of the Lord devours from one end of the land to the other; no flesh has peace.

On all the bare hilltops, destroying armies can be seen. The sword of the Lord devours people from one end of the nation to the other. No one will escape!

耶和華之刃歟、爾將何時休息、其入於鞘、安然不動、

雖被虜於敵前、我必命刃殺之、我注目視之、乃為殃、非為祥也、

耶和華之刃盈以血、潤以脂、即羔羊山羊之血、牡羊腎之脂、緣耶和華有祀事於波斯拉、行大戮於以東地、

我若使鋒刃臨於斯土、曰鋒刃歟、遍經斯地、絕其人畜、

我必散爾於異邦、襲爾以白刃、荒涼爾土、闃寂爾邑、

待盈困城之日、取髮三分之一、焚於邑中、三分之一、以刃擊之、在邑四周、三分之一、散之於風、我亦拔刃襲之、

其衣及股、有名書曰、諸王之王、諸主之主、○我又見一使立於日中、大聲而呼、謂凡飛於天空之鳥曰、來、集赴上帝之盛筵、俾得食君王將帥勇士、及馬與乘之者、或自主為奴、與卑者尊者之肉、○我又見獸及世上諸王、並其軍咸集、欲與乘馬者及其軍戰、獸被執、偽先知亦然、即昔行異蹟於獸前、以惑受獸印誌而拜其像者、二者生投於火湖、以硫焚之、餘皆見殺於乘馬者口出之劍、眾鳥皆飽其肉焉、

我上帝曰、作惡之輩、不享平康、

自錫安聞有號咷之聲、曰、噫、我儕敗矣、慚愧特甚、因離故土、我之第宅為敵所毀、維爾諸婦、當聽耶和華言、耳聆其口所出之詞、其訓爾女號咷、各誨爾鄰哀哭、蓋死亡至於我牖、入於我宮、我子殄於外、少壯滅於衢、

是時必告斯民、與耶路撒冷曰、炎熇之風、來自曠野之荒邱、向我民女而吹、非為簸之、非為潔之、又有更大之風、為我而至、今我將行鞫於彼也、敵將如雲而上、車若颶風、馬疾於鷹、禍哉我儕、吾其敗矣、耶路撒冷歟、爾其洗心去惡、庶可獲救、爾懷惡念、伊於胡底、有聲自但而傳信、自以法蓮山而報災、

摩押不復得譽、在希實本、有人謀害之曰、其來滅之、俾不復為國、瑪得緬歟、爾亦將荒寂、鋒刃必追襲爾也、

又有赤馬出、使乘之者奪和平於地、致人相殺、且予之巨刃、○

是時必有大難、自世之始迄今未有、後亦無之、若非減其日、則無得救者、但為選民故、其日將減耳、

耶和華必蒞臨於火、其乘輅若旋風、忿然發怒、以烈焰加譴責、蓋耶和華以火與刃、罰凡有血氣者、為耶和華所戮者眾、

古實人歟、爾亦必見戮於我刃、

仰觀荒邱、爾何在未受玷污、爾坐道旁以待、若亞拉伯人之伏於曠野、以爾淫亂邪惡、污衊斯土、

故耶和華曰、爾不聽我、宣告自由於昆弟鄰里、今我宣告自由於爾、即縱鋒刃疫癘饑饉於爾、使爾播散於天下萬國、

如彼詢爾曰、我當何往、則告之曰、耶和華云、當死者就死、當刃者就刃、當饑者就饑、當虜者就虜、
