Gideon and his three hundred men, exhausted yet keeping up the pursuit, came to the Jordan and crossed it.

Gideon and his 300 men were very tired. But they kept on chasing their enemies. They came to the Jordan River and went across it.

既然有這麼多見證人像雲彩一般圍繞著我們，我們就要放下一切重擔，擺脫容易纏累我們的罪，以堅忍的心奔跑我們前面的賽程，定睛仰望為我們的信心創始成終的耶穌。祂為了擺在前面的喜樂，就輕看羞辱，忍受了十字架的痛苦，如今已坐在上帝寶座的右邊。你們要思想忍受罪人如此頂撞的主，免得疲倦灰心。其實你們與罪惡搏鬥，還沒有抵擋到流血的地步。

有個士兵告訴約拿單，說：「你父親曾叫眾人鄭重起誓，『今天吃東西的人必受咒詛。』所以大家很疲憊。」約拿單說：「我父親使大家受苦了。你看，我只吃了少許蜂蜜，就精神大振，

還生擒了米甸人的兩名首領俄立和西伊伯。他們在俄立磐石上殺死了俄立，在西伊伯榨酒池殺了西伊伯。他們繼續追殺米甸人，並帶著俄立和西伊伯的人頭穿過約旦河，交給基甸。
