回答柔和，使怒消退；言语暴戾，触动怒气。

基甸打发人走遍以法莲山地，说：“你们下来攻击米甸人，争先把守约旦河的渡口，直到伯巴拉。”于是以法莲的众人聚集，把守约旦河的渡口，直到伯巴拉，捉住了米甸人的两个首领：一名俄立，一名西伊伯；将俄立杀在俄立磐石上，将西伊伯杀在西伊伯酒榨那里；又追赶米甸人，将俄立和西伊伯的首级带过约旦河，到基甸那里。

我凭着所赐我的恩对你们各人说：不要看自己过于所当看的；要照着神所分给各人信心的大小，看得合乎中道。

因为他们不是靠自己的刀剑得地土，也不是靠自己的膀臂得胜，乃是靠你的右手、你的膀臂，和你脸上的亮光，因为你喜悦他们。

一句话说得合宜，就如金苹果在银网子里。

不轻易发怒的，胜过勇士；治服己心的，强如取城。

耶和华啊，荣耀不要归与我们，不要归与我们；要因你的慈爱和诚实归在你的名下！

按我们所得的恩赐，各有不同。或说预言，就当照着信心的程度说预言；

耶和华是我的力量，是我的诗歌；他也成了我的拯救。在义人的帐棚里，有欢呼拯救的声音；“耶和华的右手施展大能。耶和华的右手高举；耶和华的右手施展大能。”

除了基督藉我做的那些事，我什么都不敢提，只提他藉我言语作为，用神迹奇事的能力，并圣灵的能力，使外邦人顺服；甚至我从耶路撒冷，直转到以利哩古，到处传了基督的福音。

恒常忍耐可以劝动君王；柔和的舌头能折断骨头。

凡事不可结党，不可贪图虚浮的荣耀；只要存心谦卑，各人看别人比自己强。

俗语说：‘那人撒种，这人收割’，这话可见是真的。
