And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: Jehovah shall rule over you.

基甸對他們說：「我不治理你們，我的兒子也不治理你們，耶和華會治理你們。」

基甸對他們說：「我不治理你們，我的兒子也不治理你們，耶和華會治理你們。」

基甸回答說：「我和我子孫都不統治你們，統治你們的是耶和華。

基甸回答他們：“我不統治你們，我的子孫也不統治你們，唯有耶和華統治你們。”

基甸對他們說：『我不管理你們，我兒子也不管理你們，只有永恆主管理你們。』

基甸曰、我不治爾、我子亦不治爾、治爾者乃耶和華也、

其田曰、我不治爾、子孫亦不治爾、治爾者乃耶和華也。

基甸對曰、我不治爾、我子亦不治爾、治爾者惟主、

But Gideon told them,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you. The Lord will rule over you.”

But Gideon told them,“ I will not rule over you. My son won’t rule over you either. The Lord will rule over you.”

Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the Lord will rule over you.”

But Gideon replied,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son. The Lord will rule over you!

But Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the LORD will rule over you.”

but ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saveth you out of all your calamities and your distresses; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before Jehovah by your tribes, and by your thousands.

And when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, ye said unto me, Nay, but a king shall reign over us; when Jehovah your God was your king.

For Jehovah is our judge, Jehovah is our lawgiver, Jehovah is our king; he will save us.

And there arose also a contention among them, which of them was accounted to be greatest.And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles have lordship over them; and they that have authority over them are called Benefactors.But ye shall not be so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.For which is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am in the midst of you as he that serveth.

neither as lording it over the charge allotted to you, but making yourselves ensamples to the flock.

Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for in faith ye stand fast.

We are become as they over whom thou never barest rule, as they that were not called by thy name.

And the people, the princes of Gilead, said one to another, What man is he that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.

But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto Jehovah.And Jehovah said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee; for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not be king over them.

And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, If ye bring me home again to fight with the children of Ammon, and Jehovah deliver them before me, shall I be your head?And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Jehovah shall be witness between us; surely according to thy word so will we do.Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and chief over them: and Jephthah spake all his words before Jehovah in Mizpah.

And when Jehovah raised them up judges, then Jehovah was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented Jehovah because of their groaning by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.
