祂使他們戰車的輪子脫落，難以前行。於是，埃及人說：「我們逃命吧，因為耶和華在幫助以色列人對付我們！」

埃及的幫助是徒然的，所以我稱她為「沒用的海怪」。

主耶和華——以色列的聖者說：「你們回轉、安息便可得到拯救；你們安靜、信靠便可得到力量。但你們卻不肯。

他耳邊響著恐怖的聲音，他安逸時遭強盜襲擊。他不指望能逃脫黑暗，他註定要喪身刀下。

摩西對百姓說：「你們不用害怕，站穩了，看耶和華用什麼方法解救你們。你們再也看不到你們今天看到的埃及人了。耶和華必為你們爭戰，你們要保持鎮靜。」
