Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet, summoning the Abiezrites to follow him.

耶和華的靈臨到他身上，他就治理以色列人；他出去作戰，耶和華把亞蘭王古珊．利薩田交在他手中，他的能力就勝過了古珊．利薩田。

他去到以後，就在以法蓮山地吹角；以色列人與他一同從山地上下來，他走在他們前頭，

那時，神的靈臨到耶何耶大祭司的兒子撒迦利亞身上，他就站在比眾民高的地方，對他們說：“神這樣說：‘你們為甚麼違背耶和華的誡命，使你們不得亨通呢？因為你們離棄了耶和華，所以耶和華也離棄你們。’”

當時，神的靈降在那三十個勇士的首領亞瑪撒身上，他就說：“大衛啊，我們是來歸從你；耶西的兒子啊，我們是來跟隨你；願你平平安安，願幫助你的人也都平安，因為你的神幫助了你。”於是大衛收留了他們，立他們作軍長。

總要披戴主耶穌基督，不要為肉體安排，去放縱私慾。

有人藉著聖靈領受了智慧的言語，又有人靠著同一位聖靈領受了知識的言語，又有人因著同一位聖靈領受了信心，還有人因著這位聖靈領受了醫病的恩賜，另有人可以行神蹟，另有人可以講道，另有人可以辨別諸靈，也有人能說各種的方言，也有人能翻譯方言。這一切都是這同一位聖靈所作的，他按照自己的意思個別地分給各人。

參孫來到利希，非利士人就吶喊著出來迎接他，耶和華的靈大大臨到參孫身上，他臂上的繩子就像被火燒的麻一樣，他的捆綁都從他的手上落下來。

在瑪哈尼．但（“瑪哈尼．但”意即“但的軍營”），就是在瑣拉和以實陶中間，耶和華的靈開始感動參孫。

掃羅聽了這些話，神的靈大大感動他，他就非常忿怒。

基甸對他們說：“我所行的怎能比得上你們呢？在以法蓮拾取剩下的葡萄，不是比在亞比以謝收摘的葡萄更好嗎？

耶和華的靈大大感動參孫，參孫就下到亞實基倫，擊殺了他們中間三十個人，拿了剝下來的衣服，把三十套衣服給了那些把謎語的意思說出來的人；參孫怒氣沖沖地上自己的父家去了。

不要把我從你面前丟棄，不要從我身上收回你的聖靈。

你們所有受洗歸入基督的人，都是披戴基督的，

吹號的時候，全體會眾都要到你那裡，聚集在會幕的門口。

耶和華的靈必大大感動你，你就要與他們一同受感說話，變成另一個人。

耶和華的靈離開了掃羅。有惡鬼從耶和華那裡來驚擾他。

瑪拿西其餘的子孫按著家族抽籤分地，包括亞比以謝的子孫、希勒的子孫、亞斯列的子孫、示劍的子孫、希弗的子孫、示米大的子孫；這些都是約瑟的兒子瑪拿西子孫中男丁的各家族。

耶和華的使者來到，坐在俄弗拉，一棵屬於亞比以謝族人約阿施的橡樹下；約阿施的兒子基甸正在壓酒池裡打麥子，為要躲避米甸人的搶奪。
