自埃及西曷至迦南地、以革倫界之北、治非利士人之伯有五、即迦薩、亞實突、以實迦倫、迦特、以革倫是。又有一族、稱亞英者。

基巴勒地、遍利巴嫩之東、自黑門山麓之巴力伽得、至哈末之道。

先是非利士人不容鐵工居於以色列族地、恐希百來人鑄作劍戟。以色列人欲礪其耒耜、斧斤、則詣非利士人所。惟有銼以削其耒耜、斧斤、與鋤、使錣銳利。當戰之時、惟掃羅與約拿單、有劍戟、從者俱無。非利士人之汛在密抹隘口。

可返旆遄征至亞摩哩山、及其鄰近之平原陵谷、亦往南行、至於海濱、入於迦南、延及利巴嫩、抵百辣河。

非利士人集、欲攻以色列族、率車三萬、騎六千、步卒如海沙之眾多、至伯亞文東之密抹建營。

西布倫將居海濱、泊舟之所、界延西頓。

耶和華以敵付於以色列族、遂擊之、追至西頓大邑、亦至蜜利弗馬音、及密士巴谷東隅、俱翦滅之、靡有孑遺。約書亞伐之、循耶和華命、馬則割其筋、車則焚以火。反旆取夏朔邑、刃擊其王、昔夏朔為列國之首。以色列族刃擊居民、翦滅其眾、凡有血氣者、靡有孑遺、遂焚夏朔以火。約書亞取諸邑、與其王、以刃擊之、翦滅其眾、靡有孑遺、循耶和華僕摩西之命。邑建於岡者、以色列族不焚、惟夏朔邑約書亞焚之。

又至哈末、延及西撻、

以色列族出、與非利士人戰、近以便以設建營、非利士人建營於亞弗、陳列行伍、攻以色列族、戰鬥之時、以色列族為非利士人所敗、亡於陣者、約四千人。

耶和華付於都夏朔之迦南王耶賓、居外邦夏羅設之西西喇、為其軍長、

亞馬力族居南方、赫人、耶布士人、亞摩哩人居山、迦南人瀕海與約但河居焉。

蓋是時以色列族為非利士人所轄、參孫父母不知斯事由於耶和華、使參孫與非利士人生其釁隙。

又至希伯崙、哩合、哈門、加拿、及西頓大邑、

昔西頓人、亞馬力人、馬雲人虐爾、爾籲時、我援爾於其手。

自東至西之迦南人、亞摩哩人、赫人、比哩洗人、居山之耶布士人、密士巴地。黑門山麓之希未人。

迦南生冢子西頓、亦為赫、耶布士、亞摩哩、革迦撒、希未、亞基西尼、亞瓦底、洗馬哩哈抹、諸族之祖、由此迦南族姓蔓延。迦南之境、從西頓、近其臘、至迦薩、沿及所多馬、蛾摩拉、押馬、西編、拉沙。

非利士人伯率軍、或百或千、向前而進。大闢與其僕從隨亞吉、亦向前而進。

如是上帝助以色列族、敗迦南王耶賓。以色列族較昔愈強、戰迦南王耶賓而獲勝、至於殲滅乃已。

五人遂往、至拉億、見其邑民、與西頓無異、安居逸樂、無人侵擾、財用富裕、地離西頓甚遠、不與他人通聞問。

非利士人之五伯、轄諸邑垣、與其鄉里、延及巨石之所、各獻金鼠一、循其邑數、巨石在伯示麥人約書亞田、昔置耶和華匱之地、至今猶存。

耶和華震怒、付之於非利士人及亞捫人手、

平原諸邑、與基列、巴山四境、至巴山王噩所統之邑、撒迦、以得來、我亦取之、黑門之山、西頓人稱之為西連、亞摩哩人稱之為示溺。
