至基比亞、入邑以宿、無人接其入室寓之、乃坐於衢、既暮、有老者自田工作而歸、彼乃以法蓮山地人、旅於基比亞、此地之人、屬便雅憫族、老者舉目、見旅人在衢、問曰、爾奚自、將何往、曰、我自猶大伯利恆來、往以法蓮山隅、原居於彼、曾至猶大伯利恆、今詣耶和華室、無人接我入室、驢有芻糧、我與妾僕有餅及酒、罔有所缺、老者曰、願爾平安、爾之所需、我之責也、勿宿於衢、遂導之入室、以芻飼驢、乃濯足飲食、適快心時、邑之匪徒環宅叩門、謂室主老者曰、入爾室者、攜之出、以遂我欲、室主出、謂之曰、兄弟乎、勿行此惡、斯人既入我室、勿妄為、我有處女、及彼之妾在此、我俱出之、任爾玷辱、遂爾所欲、惟於斯人勿妄為、眾不聽、旅人執其妾出之、眾與淫合、竟夕狎侮、黎明始釋、昧爽、婦至其主所寓之室、仆於門前、迨乎既旦、其主夙興、啟門而出、欲行其途、見妾仆於門前、二手在閾、謂之曰、起、我儕行矣、不應、遂置之於驢、啟行而歸、
