是夜耶和華諭其田曰、爾可速下、適於敵營、我以之付於爾手。

蓋爾上帝耶和華、於諸支派中遴選祭司、爰及子孫、使永立於前、憑藉其名、以供役事。

亞倫子以利亞撒死、葬於以法蓮山、其子非尼哈所得之岡。

當時耶和華、區別利未支派、使舁耶和華約匱、立於其前、以奉事之、籲其名而頌禱、即以今日之事為證。

祭司非尼哈、與牧伯及以色列億兆族長、聞流便伽得、馬拿西族之言、則悅。祭司以利亞撒子非尼哈、告流便伽得馬拿西族曰、我今日知耶和華祐我、因爾不違耶和華、如此則援以色列族免耶和華降災於我。○祭司以利亞撒子非尼哈、與牧伯離基列、別流便伽得族、歸迦南、見以色列族而覆之。

大闢復問耶和華。耶和華曰、汝往枝拉、我將以非利士人付於爾手。大闢偕其僕從群往枝拉、攻非利士人、大戮其眾、劫其牲畜、枝拉之民得救。初亞希米勒子亞庇亞塔、遁於枝拉、見大闢時、手攜公服。或以大闢至枝拉告掃羅。掃羅曰、斯邑設有門楗、閉不得出、今入其中、是上帝以彼付於我手。遂集軍旅、欲往枝拉、環攻大闢、暨其僕從。大闢知掃羅蓄謀害己、遂命祭司亞庇亞塔、攜公服至此、禱曰、以色列族之上帝耶和華與、僕聞掃羅欲至枝拉、職我之故、將滅斯城。我聞掃羅將至、果有此事乎、枝拉人將付我於其手乎、請指示我。耶和華曰、掃羅必至。又問、枝拉人將以我及僕從付於掃羅之手乎。曰、彼將付爾於其手。

猶大族耶路撒冷民歟、明日迎敵、爾毋與戰、成列以待、耶和華拯爾、毋畏葸、必蒙其祐。

耶和華與、我知人事不操諸己、人居斯世、不得整其步履。

一心恃耶和華、毋恃己能。凡事崇主、則蒙啟導。

耶和華曰猶大族可往、我以是地付於其手。

耶和華怒責其過、使殞沒於匱前。上帝擊烏撒、大闢不悅、名其地曰、比列烏撒、至於今日、其名尚存。時大闢畏耶和華曰、可使耶和華之匱適我邑乎。故不舁之至大闢邑中、轉往他所、至迦特人、阿別以東家。耶和華之匱居彼三月、耶和華錫嘏於阿別以東全家。或告大闢王曰、緣上帝之匱、耶和華錫嘏於阿別以東、暨凡所有。於是大闢往迎上帝之匱、於阿別以東家、歡然舁至大闢邑中。

約書亞曰、我主耶和華與、曷導斯民濟約但、付於亞摩哩人手、使我危亡乎。不如我仍居約但東為幸。

預遣祭司以利亞撒子非尼哈、至基列地、見流便迦得二支派、馬拿西支派之半。

大闢問耶和華曰、欲追其軍、可乎。追可及乎。曰、追之必及、諸物悉獲。

大闢問耶和華曰、非利士人我當往攻之乎、爾其以彼付我手乎。耶和華曰、往哉、我必付於爾手。大闢至巴勒比哩心、擊敵曰、耶和華破敵於我前、若水決而分流、故名其地曰、巴勒比哩心。敵遣其偶像、大闢與臣僕取之。非利士人復至、遍於哩乏音谷。大闢詢耶和華、耶和華曰、爾勿往前、宜襲其後、在桑林相對之所。如聞步履之聲、出於桑杪、則當速往、蓋耶和華已先爾而行、擊非利士人軍旅、

掃羅詢於上帝、非利士人今日可襲之乎。爾其以之付於以色列人手乎。是日上帝無所應。

亞倫孫、以利亞撒子、非尼哈見之、遂離會眾、取戟於手、襲以色列人之後、至其寢室、以戟刺其人、並女之腹、為以色列族除其災。時遇災而死者、計二萬四千人。耶和華諭摩西曰、我斷不容以他上帝匹我、以色列族犯此、故我震怒、祭司亞倫孫、以利亞撒子、非尼哈施其熱中、以奉事我、使我不滅其眾、故爾當告之、我將與彼立平康之約、使其子孫恆為祭司、蓋其熱中、以奉事我、為以色列民贖罪。

取上帝之匱、載於新車、御車者亞庇拿撻二子、一曰烏撒、一曰亞希阿、出亞庇拿撻之家、自山巔而下。
