The Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and He declared,“ Because this nation has violated My covenant that I made with their fathers and disobeyed Me,

於是永恆主向以色列人發怒，說：『這國的人對我的約、我所吩咐他們祖宗守的、既越犯了，不聽我的聲音，

耶和華怒以色列人曰、斯民乃背我命其祖所守之約、不聽我言、

耶和華震怒曰、昔我與以色列族之祖立約、惟彼違逆、不遵我命、

於是主怒以色列人曰、斯民背我與其列祖所立之約、不聽從我言、

Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and said,“ Because this nation has violated the covenant I ordained for their ancestors and has not listened to me,

So the Lord became very angry with the Israelites. He said,“ This nation has broken my covenant. I made it with their people of long ago. But this nation has not listened to me.

So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he said,“ Because this people have transgressed my covenant that I commanded their fathers and have not obeyed my voice,

So the Lord burned with anger against Israel. He said,“ Because these people have violated my covenant, which I made with their ancestors, and have ignored my commands,

The LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he declared,“ Because this nation has violated my covenant that I made with their ancestors and disobeyed me,

So the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He said,“ Because this nation has violated My covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not listened to My voice,

Then the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel; and He said,“ Because this nation has transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not heeded My voice,

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel; and he said, Because this nation have transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice;

And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice;

The LORD was furious with Israel. He said,“ This nation has violated the terms of the agreement I made with their ancestors by disobeying me.

Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel; and he said,“ Because this nation transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not listened to my voice,

The Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and He handed them over to marauders who raided them. He sold them to the enemies around them, and they could no longer resist their enemies.

If you break the covenant of the Lord your God, which He commanded you, and go and worship other gods, and bow down to them, the Lord’s anger will burn against you, and you will quickly disappear from this good land He has given you.”

This one will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt— a covenant they broke even though I had married them”— the Lord’s declaration.

Moses came and told the people all the commands of the Lord and all the ordinances. Then all the people responded with a single voice,“ We will do everything that the Lord has commanded.”And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. He rose early the next morning and set up an altar and 12 pillars for the 12 tribes of Israel at the base of the mountain.Then he sent out young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed bulls as fellowship offerings to the Lord.Moses took half the blood and set it in basins; the other half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.He then took the covenant scroll and read it aloud to the people. They responded,“ We will do and obey everything that the Lord has commanded.”Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said,“ This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you concerning all these words.”

“ No!” the people answered Joshua.“ We will worship the Lord.”Joshua then told the people,“ You are witnesses against yourselves that you yourselves have chosen to worship Yahweh.”“ We are witnesses,” they said.“ Then get rid of the foreign gods that are among you and offer your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”So the people said to Joshua,“ We will worship the Lord our God and obey Him.”On that day Joshua made a covenant for the people at Shechem and established a statute and ordinance for them.

So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and He sold them to the Philistines and the Ammonites.

Now leave Me alone, so that My anger can burn against them and I can destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”But Moses interceded with the Lord his God:“ Lord, why does Your anger burn against Your people You brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and a strong hand?

The Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and He sold them to Cushan-rishathaim king of Aram-naharaim, and the Israelites served him eight years.

For fire has been kindled because of My anger and burns to the depths of Sheol; it devours the land and its produce, and scorches the foundations of the mountains.

“ All of you are standing today before the Lord your God— your leaders, tribes, elders, officials, all the men of Israel,your children, your wives, and the foreigners in your camps who cut your wood and draw your water—so that you may enter into the covenant of the Lord your God, which He is making with you today, so that you may enter into His oathand so that He may establish you today as His people and He may be your God as He promised you and as He swore to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

“ I will make you pass under the rod and will bring you into the bond of the covenant.
