When Yahweh raised up judges for them, then Yahweh was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved Yahweh because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.

The Lord will indeed vindicate His people and have compassion on His servants when He sees that their strength is gone and no one is left— slave or free.

No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or forsake you.

the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

When He heard their cry, He took note of their distress,remembered His covenant with them, and relented according to the riches of His faithful love.

So God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Then the Lord said to Paul in a night vision,“ Don’t be afraid, but keep on speaking and don’t be silent.For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.”

He answered,“ I will certainly be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship God at this mountain.”

Lord— how long? Turn and have compassion on Your servants.

Then God saw their actions— that they had turned from their evil ways— so God relented from the disaster He had threatened to do to them. And He did not do it.

How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? I have had a change of heart; My compassion is stirred!

At one moment I might announce concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will uproot, tear down, and destroy it.However, if that nation I have made an announcement about turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the disaster I had planned to do to it.At another time I announce that I will build and plant a nation or a kingdom.However, if it does what is evil in My sight by not listening to My voice, I will relent concerning the good I had said I would do to it.

So they got rid of the foreign gods among them and worshiped the Lord, and He became weary of Israel’s misery.

Then Jehoahaz sought the Lord’s favor, and the Lord heard him, for He saw the oppression the king of Aram inflicted on Israel.

“ Because of the oppression of the afflicted and the groaning of the poor, I will now rise up,” says the Lord.“ I will put the one who longs for it in a safe place.”

Hazael king of Aram oppressed Israel throughout the reign of Jehoahaz,but the Lord was gracious to them, had compassion on them, and turned toward them because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He was not willing to destroy them. Even now He has not banished them from His presence.
