In his anger against Israel the Lord gave them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist.

The Lord became angry with the Israelites. So he handed them over to robbers. The robbers stole everything from them. The Lord handed the Israelites over to their enemies all around them. Israel wasn’t able to fight against them anymore and win.

So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he gave them over to plunderers, who plundered them. And he sold them into the hand of their surrounding enemies, so that they could no longer withstand their enemies.

This made the Lord burn with anger against Israel, so he handed them over to raiders who stole their possessions. He turned them over to their enemies all around, and they were no longer able to resist them.

若不是他們的磐石賣掉他們，若不是耶和華拋棄他們，一人怎能趕散他們千人？二人怎能擊潰他們萬人？

於是，耶和華棄絕了以色列全族，使他們飽嚐痛苦，任人宰割，直至把他們從自己眼前趕走。

即使無人追趕，他們也將倉皇逃命，互相絆倒，如同躲避刀劍一樣。你們必無力抵擋敵人。

所以，以色列人受咒詛，無法抵擋敵人，掉頭敗逃。你必須將那些本該毀滅的東西從你們中間除掉，不然我就不再與你們同在。起來吧！去吩咐民眾潔淨自己，讓他們為明天潔淨自己，因為以色列的上帝耶和華這樣說，『以色列啊！你們中間有本該毀滅的東西，你們不除掉這些東西就無法抵擋敵人。

那時，我要向他們發怒，離棄他們，掩面不理他們。他們將被吞滅，遭遇許多禍患和災難，以致他們會說，『這些禍患臨到我們豈不是因為上帝不在我們中間了嗎？』那時，我必掩面不理他們，因為他們祭拜別的神明，行為邪惡。

耶和華因此向祂的子民發怒，厭惡他們，使他們落在列邦的手中，受敵人的轄制。他們的敵人壓迫他們，奴役他們。

耶和華把他們交在統治夏瑣的迦南王耶賓手中。耶賓王的將軍叫西西拉，住在夏羅設。

以色列人做耶和華視為惡的事，忘記他們的上帝耶和華，祭拜假神巴力和亞舍拉。耶和華向他們發怒，把他們交在美索不達米亞王古珊·利薩田的手中，受古珊·利薩田統治八年。

亞摩利人強迫但人住在山區，不准他們下到平原。

「如果你們不謹遵這書上所寫的一切律法，不敬畏你們的上帝耶和華那榮耀、可畏的名，

「祂要使你們被敵人擊敗、潰不成軍、四散逃命，下場令天下萬國驚懼。

即使你們能打敗迦勒底全軍，他們營中受傷的殘兵也必起來燒毀這城。』」

我也要與你們作對，向你們發烈怒，把比先前嚴厲七倍的懲罰加在你們身上。

免得有人聽了這誓言後，心存僥倖地說，『即使我一意孤行，連累他人，也必平安無事。』耶和華絕不會赦免這樣的人，祂必向這樣的人發烈怒，使記在這書上的一切咒詛臨到他身上，從世上抹去他的名字。

「現在，你們這群罪人的後代竟然重蹈前人的覆轍，加劇耶和華的怒氣。

那時，人們出入不得平安，因為各地都有動亂。

耶和華說：「我休你們母親的休書在哪裡呢？我把你們賣給了我哪一個債主呢？你們被賣是因為你們的罪惡，你們母親被休是因為你們的過犯。

現在你卻丟棄我們，讓我們受辱，不再幫我們的軍隊作戰。你使我們在仇敵面前敗退，遭敵人擄掠。

他們卻嘲弄耶和華上帝的使者，藐視祂的話，嘲笑祂的先知，以致祂的憤怒臨到祂的子民身上，無可挽救。

耶和華與猶大人同在。他們攻佔了山區，卻沒能趕走平原的居民，因為那裡的人有鐵戰車。

「因為你們背棄耶和華，祂要使你們凡事受咒詛、混亂不堪、飽受責罰，直到你們被毀滅，迅速滅亡。

你把我們廉價賣掉，視我們一文不值。
