The angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bokim and said,“ I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land I swore to give to your ancestors. I said,‘ I will never break my covenant with you,

The angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bokim. There he said to the Israelites,“ I brought you up out of Egypt. I led you into this land. It is the land I promised to give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. At that time I said,‘ I will never break the covenant I made with you.

Now the angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said,“ I brought you up from Egypt and brought you into the land that I swore to give to your fathers. I said,‘ I will never break my covenant with you,

And the angel of Jehovah came up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you:

The LORD’s angelic messenger went up from Gilgal to Bokim. He said,“ I brought you up from Egypt and led you into the land I had solemnly promised to give to your ancestors. I said,‘ I will never break my agreement with you,

Yahweh’s angel came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said,“ I brought you out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to give your fathers. I said,‘ I will never break my covenant with you.

I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.And I will give to you and to your descendants after you the land where you live as a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land.

“ I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

“ Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

And the Lord appeared to Abram and said,“ To your descendants I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.

Live for a time in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham.I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,

Then the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her,“ Behold now, you are infertile and have not given birth; but you will conceive and give birth to a son.

Or has a god ventured to go to take for himself a nation from within another nation by trials, by signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, just as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

and said,“ By Myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only son,indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand, which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies.

Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, nor will I so loathe them as to destroy them, breaking My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right to accuse him.And the Lord said to Satan,“ The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a log snatched from the fire?”

Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her,“ You are a God who sees me”; for she said,“ Have I even seen Him here and lived after He saw me?”

The Lord will fight for you, while you keep silent.”

And Joshua said,“ By this you will know that the living God is among you, and that He will assuredly drive out from you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite.

So they named that place Bochim; and there they sacrificed to the Lord.

He also gave them the lands of the nations, So that they might take possession of the fruit of the peoples’ labor,And that they might keep His statutes And comply with His laws; Praise the Lord!

Then the angel of the Lord came and sat under the oak that was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, as his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the wine press in order to save it from the Midianites.And the angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him,“ The Lord is with you, valiant warrior.”

In all their distress He was distressed, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.

And He said,“ My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Then the angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.

And I took my staff Favor and cut it in pieces, to break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.

Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments;

In accordance with the number of days that you spied out the land, forty days, for every day you shall suffer the punishment for your guilt a year, that is, forty years, and you will know My opposition.

Do not despise us, for the sake of Your own name; Do not disgrace the throne of Your glory. Remember and do not annul Your covenant with us.

Then the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not being consumed.So Moses said,“ I must turn aside and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burning up!”When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said,“ Moses, Moses!” And he said,“ Here I am.”Then He said,“ Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”And He said,“ I am the God of your father— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.And the Lord said,“ I have certainly seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their outcry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings.So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

Now it came about when Joshua was by Jericho, he raised his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing opposite him with his sword drawn in his hand, and Joshua went to him and said to him,“ Are you for us or for our enemies?”He said,“ No; rather I have come now as captain of the army of the Lord.” And Joshua fell on his face to the ground, and bowed down, and said to him,“ What has my lord to say to his servant?”

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night do not occur at their proper time,then My covenant with David My servant may also be broken, so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers.

But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said,“ Abraham, Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”He said,“ Do not reach out your hand against the boy, and do not do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

“ After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in the flame of a burning thorn bush.When Moses saw it, he was astonished at the sight; and as he approached to look more closely, the voice of the Lord came:‘ I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob.’ Moses shook with fear and did not dare to look closely.But the Lord said to him,‘ Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.

I will not violate My covenant, Nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.

The angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the boys; And may my name live on in them, And the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And may they grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

He also fatally struck all the firstborn in their land, The first fruits of all their vigor.Then He brought the Israelites out with silver and gold, And among His tribes there was not one who stumbled.Egypt was glad when they departed, For the dread of them had fallen upon the Egyptians.

And struck all the firstborn in Egypt, The first and best of their vigor in the tents of Ham.But He led His own people out like sheep, And guided them in the wilderness like a flock;He led them safely, so that they did not fear; But the sea engulfed their enemies.

Now the angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur.He said,“ Hagar, Sarai’s slave woman, from where have you come, and where are you going?” And she said,“ I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.”So the angel of the Lord said to her,“ Return to your mistress, and submit to her authority.”The angel of the Lord also said to her,“ I will greatly multiply your descendants so that they will be too many to count.”

In the womb he took his brother by the heel, And in his mature strength he contended with God.Yes, he wrestled with the angel and prevailed; He wept and implored His favor. He found Him at Bethel, And there He spoke with us,And the Lord, the God of armies, The Lord is His name.

“ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and he will clear a way before Me. And the Lord, whom you are seeking, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of armies.
