或是統治官由君王所差派、以刑罰作惡的、讚許行善的。

他父親從來沒有使他難過，沒有問過他說：『你為甚麼這樣作？』他丰姿非常俊美；是在押沙龍之後生的。

作官的原不是叫有善行的懼怕，乃是叫有惡行的懼怕。你願意不懼怕政權麼？須要行善，就可以從它得讚許；

我必使他知道，為了他所知道的罪孽我必永遠判罰他的家，因為他的兒子自招咒詛，他也不斥責他們。
