For three hundred years Israel occupied Heshbon, Aroer, the surrounding settlements and all the towns along the Arnon. Why didn’t you retake them during that time?

For 300 years Israel has been living in Heshbon and Aroer. They have been living in the settlements around those cities. They have also been living in all the towns along the Arnon River. Why didn’t you take those places back during that time?

從亞嫩谿谷邊的亞羅珥、和谿谷中的城、直到基列，沒有一座城是高得使我們不能攻取的；這一切、永恆主我們的上帝都交在我們面前了。

我們把這一些都盡行毁滅歸神，像待希實本王西宏一樣，把一切有男丁的城市、連女人帶小孩都盡行毁滅歸神；

約書亞和眾王作戰了許多年日。

陀拉作士師來拯救以色列二十三年。他死了，埋葬在沙密。他以後有基列人睚珥起來、作士師來拯救以色列二十二年。

和在希實本作王的、亞摩利人的王西宏所有的城，直到亞捫人的境界。

以色列人奪取了這一切城市；以色列人也住在亞摩利人的一切城市、在希實本與希實本所有的廂鎮。這希實本是亞摩利人的王西宏的京城；西宏曾經和摩押的先王交戰，從他手中奪取了他一切的地、直到亞嫩河。因此誦歌謠的說：『你們來到希實本吧！讓它被建造吧！讓西宏的城重新被建立吧！因為有火從希實本發出，有火焰出於西宏的城廂，燒燬了摩押的亞珥，吞滅了亞嫩的山丘。摩押啊，你有禍啊！基抹的人民啊，你們滅亡啦！基抹使自己的男子成了逃難人，使自己的女子成了俘虜，交給亞摩利人的王西宏。我們射擊了他們，希實本就毁滅，直到底本；我們使那地荒涼、直到挪法、就是到米底巴。』

從那年起，他們就破毁了壓制了約但河東邊、在基列的、在亞摩利人之地的、以色列眾人、十八年。

「現在你們要起來，往前行，過亞嫩谿谷；看哪，我已將亞摩利人希實本王西宏、和他的地、交在你手中；你要着手取得那地，跟他爭戰。

於是地方太平四十年。基納斯的兒子俄陀聶死了。

就在那一天、摩押就在以色列人手下被制伏了。於是地方太平八十年。

永恆主使以色列人得享平靜、沒有受四圍任何仇敵的騷擾。過了許多年日，約書亞也老邁，上了年紀；

『永恆主啊，願你的仇敵都這樣滅亡；願愛永恆主的人就像日頭昇現，在發光輝。』這樣，地方就太平四十年。

亞比米勒治理以色列三年。

一個是亞摩利人的王西宏、住在希實本的；他所管轄的、是從亞嫩谿谷邊的亞羅珥、和谿谷中間、跟基列的一半、直到雅博河、亞捫人的境界，

永恆主對我說：「不要怕他，因為我已經把他和他的眾民、跟他的地、都交在你手中；你要待他、像待那住希實本的亞摩利人之王西宏一樣。」

他所管轄的是黑門山、撒迦、巴珊全地、直到基述人和瑪迦人的境界、基列一半、希實本王西宏的境界。

這樣，米甸人就在以色列人面前被制伏，不能再抬起頭來；這樣，當基甸在世的日子、地方太平四十年。
