Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites, asking,“ What do you have against me that you have come to fight me in my land?”

耶弗他打发使者去见亚扪人的王，说：“你与我有什么相干，竟来到我国中攻打我呢？”

耶弗他派使者到亚扪人的王那里，说：“你与我有什么相干，竟来到我这里攻打我的地呢？”

然后，他派遣使者去问亚扪王：“你与我有什么相干？为什么要攻打我的领土？”

耶弗他派遣使者去见亚扪人的王，说：“我跟你有什么关系呢？你竟到我这里来攻打我的土地呢？”

耶弗他打發使者去見亞捫人的王，說：「你與我有甚麼相干，竟來到我國中攻打我呢？」

耶弗他派使者到亞捫人的王那裏，說：「你與我有甚麼相干，竟來到我這裏攻打我的地呢？」

然後，他派遣使者去問亞捫王：「你與我有什麼相干？為什麼要攻打我的領土？」

耶弗他遣使見亞捫王曰、爾與我何與、致爾至我、而攻我地乎、

耶弗大遣使者至亞捫族、告其王曰、我與爾何與、爾至斯土、攻我曷故。

耶弗他遣使往見亞捫人之王曰、我與爾何與、爾入我境攻我何故、

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the Ammonite king with the question:“ What do you have against me that you have attacked my country?”

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of Ammon. They asked,“ What do you have against me? Why have you attacked my country?”

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites and said,“ What do you have against me, that you have come to me to fight against my land?”

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of Ammon, asking,“ Why have you come out to fight against my land?”

So Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the sons of Ammon, saying,“ What conflict do you and I have, that you have come to me to fight against my land?”

Now Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the people of Ammon, saying,“ What do you have against me, that you have come to fight against me in my land?”

And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come unto me to fight against my land?

Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites, saying,“ What do you have against me that you have come to fight against me in my land?”

And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come against me to fight in my land?

Jephthah sent messengers to the Ammonite king, saying,“ Why have you come against me to attack my land?”

Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the children of Ammon, saying,“ What do you have to do with me, that you have come to me to fight against my land?”

“ So I sent messengers with an offer of peace to King Sihon of Heshbon from the Wilderness of Kedemoth, saying,

Don’t take a matter to court hastily. Otherwise, what will you do afterward if your opponent humiliates you?Make your case with your opponent without revealing another’s secret;

Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom,“ This is what your brother Israel says,‘ You know all the hardships that have overtaken us.

“ When you approach a city to fight against it, make an offer of peace.If it accepts your offer of peace and opens its gates to you, all the people found in it will become forced laborers for you and serve you.

Amaziah then sent messengers to Jehoash son of Jehoahaz, son of Jehu, king of Israel, and challenged him:“ Come, let’s meet face to face.”King Jehoash of Israel sent word to King Amaziah of Judah, saying,“ The thistle in Lebanon once sent a message to the cedar in Lebanon, saying,‘ Give your daughter to my son as a wife.’ Then a wild animal in Lebanon passed by and trampled the thistle.You have indeed defeated Edom, and you have become overconfident. Enjoy your glory and stay at home. Why should you stir up such trouble that you fall— you and Judah with you?”But Amaziah would not listen, so King Jehoash of Israel advanced. He and King Amaziah of Judah met face to face at Beth-shemesh that belonged to Judah.Judah was routed before Israel, and each man fled to his own tent.

Israel sent messengers to say to King Sihon of the Amorites,

“ If your brother sins against you, go tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother.But if he won’t listen, take one or two others with you, so that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every fact may be established.
