But the Israelites said to the Lord,“ We have sinned. Do with us whatever you think best, but please rescue us now.”

But the Israelites replied to the Lord,“ We have sinned. Do to us what you think is best. But please save us now.”

And the people of Israel said to the Lord,“ We have sinned; do to us whatever seems good to you. Only please deliver us this day.”

But the Israelites pleaded with the Lord and said,“ We have sinned. Punish us as you see fit, only rescue us today from our enemies.”

But the Israelites said,“ We have sinned. Deal with us as you see fit; only rescue us today!”

Then the sons of Israel said to the Lord,“ We have sinned, do to us whatever seems good to You; only please save us this day.”

And the children of Israel said to the Lord,“ We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.”

And the children of Israel said unto Jehovah, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; only deliver us, we pray thee, this day.

But the Israelites said,“ We have sinned. Deal with us as You see fit; only deliver us today!”

And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.

But the Israelites said to the LORD,“ We have sinned. You do to us as you see fit, but deliver us today!”

The children of Israel said to Yahweh,“ We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems good to you; only deliver us, please, today.”

撒母耳就把一切話都告訴以利，並沒有隱瞞。以利說：「他是耶和華，願他照他看為好的去做。」

倘若他說：『我不喜愛你』；我在這裏，就照他眼中看為好的待我！」

你要剛強，我們要為自己的百姓，為我們神的城鎮奮勇。願耶和華照他所看為好的去做！」

我說：『我從你眼前被驅逐，然而我仍要仰望你的聖殿。』

大衛數點百姓以後，心中自責。大衛向耶和華說：「我做這事大大有罪了。耶和華啊，現在求你除掉僕人的罪孽，因我所做的非常愚昧。」

他在人前歌唱說：『我犯了罪，顛倒是非，卻沒有受該得的報應。

遮掩自己過犯的，必不順利；承認且離棄過犯的，必蒙憐憫。

誰知道神也許會回心轉意，不發烈怒，使我們不致滅亡。」

大衛對迦得說：「我很為難。我們寧願落在耶和華的手裏，因為他有豐盛的憐憫；我不願落在人的手裏。」

大衛對拿單說：「我得罪耶和華了！」拿單說：「耶和華已經除去你的罪，你必不至於死。

「有誰對神說：『我受了責罰，必不再犯罪；我所看不明的，求你指教我；我若行了不義，必不再行』？
