See, we count as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and have seen the outcome from the Lord. The Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

As you know, we think that people who don’t give up are blessed. You have heard that Job was patient. And you have seen what the Lord finally did for him. The Lord is full of tender mercy and loving concern.

Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.

See, we count as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and have seen the outcome that the Lord brought about— the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

saying: Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will leave this life. The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Praise the name of Yahweh.Throughout all this Job did not sin or blame God for anything.

Then the Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed: Yahweh— Yahweh is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth,

Those who are persecuted for righteousness are blessed, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.“ You are blessed when they insult and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of Me.

A man who endures trials is blessed, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and rich in faithful love.

You will be hated by everyone because of My name. But the one who endures to the end will be delivered.

After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his prosperity and doubled his previous possessions.All his brothers, sisters, and former acquaintances came to his house and dined with him in his house. They sympathized with him and comforted him concerning all the adversity the Lord had brought on him. Each one gave him a qesitah and a gold earring.So the Lord blessed the last part of Job’s life more than the first. He owned 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.He also had seven sons and three daughters.He named his first daughter Jemimah, his second Keziah, and his third Keren-happuch.No women as beautiful as Job’s daughters could be found in all the land, and their father granted them an inheritance with their brothers.Job lived 140 years after this and saw his children and their children to the fourth generation.Then Job died, old and full of days.

“ You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her.“ Should we accept only good from God and not adversity?” Throughout all this Job did not sin in what he said.

You rejoice in this, though now for a short time you have had to struggle in various trialsso that the genuineness of your faith— more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire— may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Seek the Lord while He may be found; call to Him while He is near.Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, so He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will freely forgive.

then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,

The Lord is slow to anger and rich in faithful love, forgiving wrongdoing and rebellion. But He will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ wrongdoing on the children to the third and fourth generation.

But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and obtain life.

Listen, my God, and hear. Open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city called by Your name. For we are not presenting our petitions before You based on our righteous acts, but based on Your abundant compassion.Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, listen and act! My God, for Your own sake, do not delay, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name.

Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us,

Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end.

Who is a God like You, removing iniquity and passing over rebellion for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not hold on to His anger forever, because He delights in faithful love.

But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth.

For we have become companions of the Messiah if we hold firmly until the end the reality that we had at the start.

I will make known the Lord’s faithful love and the Lord’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the Lord has done for us— even the many good things He has done for the house of Israel and has done for them based on His compassion and the abundance of His faithful love.

Be gracious to me, God, according to Your faithful love; according to Your abundant compassion, blot out my rebellion.

Lord, happy is the man You discipline and teach from Your law

Tear your hearts, not just your clothes, and return to the Lord your God. For He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, rich in faithful love, and He relents from sending disaster.

David answered Gad,“ I’m in anguish. Please, let me fall into the Lord’s hands because His mercies are very great, but don’t let me fall into human hands.”

The end of a matter is better than its beginning; a patient spirit is better than a proud spirit.

Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

Remember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithful love, for they have existed from antiquity.Do not remember the sins of my youth or my acts of rebellion; in keeping with Your faithful love, remember me because of Your goodness, Lord.

Compassion and forgiveness belong to the Lord our God, though we have rebelled against Him

The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is compassionate.

In all their suffering, He suffered, and the Angel of His Presence saved them. He redeemed them because of His love and compassion; He lifted them up and carried them all the days of the past.

His mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear Him.

Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is Your practice toward those who love Your name.

Yet He knows the way I have taken; when He has tested me, I will emerge as pure gold.

for when you return to Yahweh, your brothers and your sons will receive mercy in the presence of their captors and will return to this land. For Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful; He will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.”

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in faithful love.

They refused to listen and did not remember Your wonders You performed among them. They became stiff-necked and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But You are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in faithful love, and You did not abandon them.

But Christ was faithful as a Son over His household. And we are that household if we hold on to the courage and the confidence of our hope.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.

Watch the blameless and observe the upright, for the man of peace will have a future.

He prayed to the Lord:“ Please, Lord, isn’t this what I said while I was still in my own country? That’s why I fled toward Tarshish in the first place. I knew that You are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to become angry, rich in faithful love, and One who relents from sending disaster.

Even if He kills me, I will hope in Him. I will still defend my ways before Him.Yes, this will result in my deliverance, for no godless person can appear before Him.

Yet He was compassionate; He atoned for their guilt and did not destroy them. He often turned His anger aside and did not unleash all His wrath.

Therefore, with your minds ready for action, be serious and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

For You, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive, rich in faithful love to all who call on You.

to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved.
