但明日究竟如何、爾不知也、爾之生命如何、乃如雲霧暫現、頃刻即不見矣、

然而明日之事、固非爾所能逆知也。盍一思之、爾之生命、果為何物？人生在世、實如雲煙過眼、瞬息即杳。

For my days have ended in smoke, And my bones have been scorched like a hearth.

My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, And they come to an end without hope.“ Remember that my life is a mere breath; My eye will not see goodness again.

“ Man, who is born of woman, Is short lived and full of turmoil.Like a flower he comes out and withers. He also flees like a shadow and does not remain.

“ Now my days are swifter than a runner; They flee away, they see no good.They slip by like reed boats, Like an eagle that swoops on its prey.

but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.

The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.

You have swept them away like a flood, they fall asleep; In the morning they are like grass that sprouts anew.In the morning it flourishes and sprouts anew; Toward evening it wilts and withers away.For we have been consumed by Your anger, And we have been terrified by Your wrath.

Remember what my lifespan is; For what futility You have created all the sons of mankind!

Like a shepherd’s tent my dwelling is pulled up and removed from me; As a weaver I rolled up my life. He cuts me off from the loom; From day until night You make an end of me.
