不要为明天夸口，因为你不知明天会怎样。

于是心里盘算，‘我储藏农产的地方不够了，怎么办呢？’于是他说，‘不如把原有的仓库拆掉，建几座更大的，好储藏我所有的粮食和财物！那时，我就可以对自己说，“你积存这么多财产，一生享用不尽，现在大可高枕无忧、尽情地吃喝玩乐吧！”’但上帝对他说，‘无知的人啊，今晚就要取走你的命！你所预备的一切留给谁享用呢？’”

他们彼此商量说：“来呀，我们烧些砖吧。”他们用砖作石块，用柏油作水泥来造塔，说：“来吧，让我们造一座城和一座高耸入云的塔，这样我们可以扬名天下，不致分散在地上。”

那时，祭司和百姓，主人和仆人，主母和婢女，买的和卖的，贷的和借的，债主和债户都必同遭厄运。

我心里想：“来吧，不如尽情享乐，好好享受！”唉！结果这也是虚空。

你们这些富有的人啊！为那将要临到你们身上的灾难痛哭哀号吧！

哭泣的，要像不哭泣的；欢喜的，要像不欢喜的；置业的，要像一无所有的。

让我们下去变乱他们的语言，使他们彼此言语不通。”

“现在，我告诉你们我会怎样处理这葡萄园，我要除去篱笆，任它被毁坏；我要拆毁围墙，任它被践踏。

时候到了，日子近了，买主不要欢乐，卖主也不要忧愁，因为烈怒临到了所有的人。

这些人就像贪吃的狗，不知饱足，又像什么都不懂的牧人，人人各行其是，追求自己的利益。他们说：“来吧，我去拿酒，让我们喝个痛快！明天会跟今天一样，甚至更丰盛。”
