Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.

所以，你們既除去一切的惡毒、詭詐，並假善、嫉妒，和一切毀謗的話，

說惡言的人在地上必堅立不住；禍患必獵取強暴的人，將他打倒。

你這論斷人的，無論你是誰，也無可推諉。你在甚麼事上論斷人，就在甚麼事上定自己的罪；因你這論斷人的，自己所行卻和別人一樣。

弟兄們，你們不要彼此埋怨，免得受審判。看哪，審判的主站在門前了。

所以，時候未到，甚麼都不要論斷，只等主來，他要照出暗中的隱情，顯明人心的意念。那時，各人要從神那裏得着稱讚。

一切苦毒、惱恨、忿怒、嚷鬧、毀謗，並一切的惡毒，都當從你們中間除掉；

「你們不要論斷人，免得你們被論斷。因為你們怎樣論斷人，也必怎樣被論斷；你們用甚麼量器量給人，也必用甚麼量器量給你們。

「你們不要論斷人，就不被論斷；你們不要定人的罪，就不被定罪；你們要饒恕人，就必蒙饒恕；

我怕我再來的時候，見你們不合我所想望的，你們見我也不合你們所想望的；又怕有紛爭、嫉妒、惱怒、結黨、毀謗、讒言、狂傲、混亂的事。

無親情，不解怨，好說讒言，不能自約，性情凶暴，不愛良善，

你這個人，為甚麼論斷弟兄呢？又為甚麼輕看弟兄呢？因我們都要站在神的臺前。經上寫着：主說：我憑着我的永生起誓：萬膝必向我跪拜；萬口必向我承認。這樣看來，我們各人必要將自己的事在神面前說明。

女執事也是如此：必須端莊，不說讒言，有節制，凡事忠心。

這樣看來，律法是聖潔的，誡命也是聖潔、公義、良善的。既然如此，那良善的是叫我死嗎？斷乎不是！叫我死的乃是罪。但罪藉着那良善的叫我死，就顯出真是罪，叫罪因着誡命更顯出是惡極了。

這樣，我們可說甚麼呢？律法是罪嗎？斷乎不是！只是非因律法，我就不知何為罪。非律法說「不可起貪心」，我就不知何為貪心。

吃的人不可輕看不吃的人；不吃的人不可論斷吃的人；因為神已經收納他了。你是誰，竟論斷別人的僕人呢？他或站住或跌倒，自有他的主人在；而且他也必要站住，因為主能使他站住。

原來在神面前，不是聽律法的為義，乃是行律法的稱義。

惟有詳細察看那全備、使人自由之律法的，並且時常如此，這人既不是聽了就忘，乃是實在行出來，就在他所行的事上必然得福。

又勸老年婦人，舉止行動要恭敬，不說讒言，不給酒作奴僕，用善道教訓人，

只是你們要行道，不要單單聽道，自己欺哄自己。因為聽道而不行道的，就像人對着鏡子看自己本來的面目，
