But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

你们反倒羞辱贫穷人。那富足人岂不是欺压你们、拉你们到公堂去吗？

你们却羞辱贫穷的人。欺压你们，拉你们到公堂去的，不就是这些富有的人吗？

但你們卻侮辱了這貧窮人！那欺壓你們、把你們拉上法庭的，難道不是那些富有的人嗎？

爾乃辱夫貧者、彼富者非挾制爾、曳爾至公庭乎、

何以爾反辱貧者乎、富者非挾制爾、拘曳爾、以至公庭乎、

爾竟辱貧人、富者非欺壓爾、曳爾至公庭乎、

而爾等竟敢輕慢貧人！夫富人非即以勢凌爾、扭爾以至公庭者乎？

But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?

But you have disrespected poor people. Aren’t rich people taking advantage of you? Aren’t they dragging you into court?

But you have dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who drag you into court?

But you dishonor the poor! Isn’t it the rich who oppress you and drag you into court?

Yet you have dishonored the poor. Don’t the rich oppress you and drag you into court?

But you have dishonored the poor man. Is it not the rich who oppress you and personally drag you into court?

But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?

But ye have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you, and themselves drag you before the judgment- seats?

Yet you dishonored that poor man. Don’t the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?

But you have dishonored the poor! Are not the rich oppressing you and dragging you into the courts?

What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise[ you] not.

And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;

Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD[ is] his refuge.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,

Ye have condemned[ and] killed the just;[ and] he doth not resist you.

As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed[ them] to prison.

He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker:[ and] he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set[ him] in safety[ from him that] puffeth at him.

Forasmuch therefore as your treading[ is] upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.

Thou hast seen[ it]; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite[ it] with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

He that oppresseth the poor to increase his[ riches, and] he that giveth to the rich,[ shall] surely[ come] to want.

And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:

The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor[ is] in your houses.What mean ye[ that] ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

He croucheth,[ and] humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that[ are] in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.

Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.Then said I, Wisdom[ is] better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom[ is] despised, and his words are not heard.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away[ the punishment] thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the[ same] maid, to profane my holy name:

Shall I count[ them] pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue[ is] deceitful in their mouth.

He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.

If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for[ he that is] higher than the highest regardeth; and[ there be] higher than they.

Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing[ was] as to devour the poor secretly.

Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him,( which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew[ them] into the marketplace unto the rulers,And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,

And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were[ our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

And the men of his city,[ even] the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them,[ and] as it[ was] written in the letters which she had sent unto them.They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him,[ even] against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.

The wicked in[ his] pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail,Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes;[ yea], and sell the refuse of the wheat?

Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.And when they had brought them, they set[ them] before the council: and the high priest asked them,

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.And they laid hands on them, and put[ them] in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Because he hath oppressed[ and] hath forsaken the poor;[ because] he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;

Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
